Batman certainly is a hero that moves to the beat of his own drum. He likes to work alone and as these TV spots point out, he never anticipated ever having to work with a team. Judging from what I've seen from this film, it looks like it could end up being better than The LEGO Movie. In the irreverent spirit of fun that made The LEGO Movie a worldwide phenomenon, the self-described leading man of that ensemble – LEGO Batman – stars in his own big-screen adventure.

But there are big changes brewing in Gotham, and if he wants to save the city from The Joker’s hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up. Will Arnett reprises his role as Batman, a.k.a. Bruce Wayne. Zach Galifianakis stars as The Joker; Michael Cera as Robin, a.k.a. Dick Grayson; Rosario Dawson as Batgirl, a.k.a. Barbara Gordon; and Ralph Fiennes as Alfred. The LEGO Batman Movie comes from producers Phil Lord and Chris Miller. It's set to open in theaters on February 10, 2017. Newest Posts on GeekTyrantThe LEGO Batman Movie The new LEGO Batman Movie extended TV spot was released earlier and it introduces a whole bunch of the Dark Knight’s rogue gallery, including the Joker, Bane, King Shark, Scarecrow, and many more. The latest TV spot for the movie gives us a slightly longer look at the relationships between Will Arnett‘s Batman and Zach Galifianakis‘ Joker, as well as Michael Cera‘s Robin.

Galifianakis sounds perfectly cast as the Joker, and the extended TV spot, which acts more as another trailer, offers a ton of geeky gags from the world of Batman; The Batman Forever sign, the Joker is rubbing against some classic Batman vehicles, including one of the original Batmobiles. The Penguin even has his giant rubber duck from Batman Returns. The movie already promises to be a visual treat for both Batman and LEGO fans alike. Check out the new TV spot: The LEGO Batman Movie features the voices of Will Arnett as Batman, Michael Cera as Robin, Ralph Fiennes as Alfred Pennyworth, Rosario Dawson as Batgirl, Mariah Carey as Mayor McCaskill, Jenny Slate as Harley Quinn, and Billy Dee Williams as Two-Face. Warner Bros. Pictures also released a special holiday card for you from the Dark Knight himself. It doesn’t reveal anything new about The LEGO Batman Movie, but it serves as a nice reminder that it’s on the way, and points to the kind of fun we’re in store for between Batman and his many co-stars.

“The Lego Batman Movie” has a new TV spot, and everything is awesome. The trailer teases that “heroes will unite” in the upcoming film, which features Will Arnett reprising his incredibly dark take on the iconic superhero from 2014’s hit “The Lego Movie.” RELATED: Everything Awesome About ‘The Lego Batman’ Movie Trailer The TV spot shows Arnett interacting with his sidekick Robin, voiced by Michael Cera. While Batman claims to have had over 5.6 million good ideas compared to everyone else’s zero, he does credit Robin for having one good idea. The spot also gives a further glimpse at Zach Galifianakis’ Joker, Jenny Slate’s Harley Quinn and Rosario Dawson’s Barbara Gordon/Batgirl. It also shows Batman’s (very cramped) Batmobile in action. “The Lego Batman Movie” is the first spin-off of the Golden Globe and Academy Award nominated film, with “The Lego Ninjago Movie” set to be released on Sept. 22, 2017 and a sequel set for Feb. 8, 2019.
