AAA Vado man accused of burglarizing a vehicle parked near a Redbox was arrested Friday.The alleged burglary happened around 5 p.m. on Jan. 7 outside a McDonald’s at 1620 El Paseo Road.Police said Damian Bautista, 20, waited for a woman to leave her vehicle to access the Redbox kiosk.Bautista is accused of taking the woman’s purse from the vehicle, and an ATM inside the purse was later used to withdraw $400, police said.In another instance, surveillance video from the McDonald’s shows Bautista enter a Toyota Tacoma and take something from the vehicle while the driver left to use the Redbox kiosk, police said.Police are asking the driver of that vehicle to contact the department if anything was stolen.Bautista, who used to work at the McDonald’s on El Paseo Road, was arrested Friday. He was booked into the county jail with bond set at $10,000.Bautista faces charges of burglary and unauthorized use or theft of a credit card.Police would like to remind citizens to roll up windows and lock all doors when leaving a vehicle unattended.close
