The Castle is perfect for a romantic weekend. We ordered food after the kitchen was closed and they made arrangements for us to eat. You will likely run into Francois Moyet while you are there and you can tell he puts his heart and soul into the smooth running and service of the Castle.
The next time I am there I'm going to try the French Cuisine they serve on site. They have multiple course meals that sound delicious. I wasn't aware my room came with a steam room/shower. My favorite part was the rooftop hot tub. I can't wait to return. on August 21, 2014 We stayed on August 20, 2014 for my birthday in the Italian room. The building is beautiful, the staff friendly and the room was clean, but every time the air conditioner ran and the compressor kicked on it rattled very loudly. We slept very little if any that night do to the noise. It the morning we ate and left. No one was at the desk (we left the keys on the desk) and no one ask us how our stay was, We would not stay again. Fun, Unique, Quaint experience on August 14, 2014 Stayed in the Italian room which was beautiful but beware, No shower only a tub. See the antique structure etc. staff very friendly andHad 7 course dinner in restaurant. Food was yummy but notDid get worst of the waiters.

Did not get that here Henderson Castle is enchanting! on June 30, 2014 Stayed in the winter the first time. Would love to come back this summer and enjoy the garden and rooftop jacuzzi. Henderson Castle is a gem and every room was well appointed. The only drawback was our room was a bit chilly. Everything else was wonderful. I'd definitely recommend it to others.I will make sure we rase the heat for you next time you come over on August 13, 2013 The breathtaking castle at the top of the hill was truly amazing! Francois and his team were pleasant and extremely accommodating to our needs. Definitely a setting of elegance with an ambiance beyond words. It was very nice to meet you and enjoy your company. on July 15, 2013 Girls 40th Getaway turned out to be a night of big disappointment. For $224 we got bugs in the "cottage", water in the bathroom that shut off on us in the morning, a hot tub that was full of dirt and debris MINUS water. We were told that it would not be working until NEXT WEEK. The breakfast was NOT included in price. The spa area was a make shift room full of dust and "stuff" everywhere. No sheets or blankets for "pull out bed" (had to ask several times). Mattress on pull out bed from couch should have been replaced - it was AWFUL. Sheet on bed was inside out - did they even wash it? no table to set any of your items on. Room was very small. Shotty work throughout the "cottage". We told them how unhappy we were and they still swiped the card for the full price. We had to listen to swearing and smell smoke from staff as they "worked" outside by the garden. Website is beautiful - but beware. I'm not sure what went wrong with your experience but you seems to be very upset.
