Yesterday, the film's director confirmed Billy Dee Williams, who played Harvey Dent in Tim Burton's Batman, will voice Two-Face in The LEGO Batman Movie. Jordan is a freelance writer for IGN. From the same team that worked on The Lego Movie comes The Lego Batman Movie, an animated adventure with Batman as the leading superhero. Will Arnett reprises his role as the superhero, portrayed here as a stubborn vigilante refusing to have any help. In the new movie, Batman is faced with the challenge of taking down Gotham City’s biggest threat, the Joker (Zach Galifianakis). Desperate to defeat the colorful culprit, Batman must learn to sacrifice his pride and work with others to keep Gotham City safe. The new group of characters ready to battle alongside Batman includes Ralph Fiennes’ loyal Alfred Pennyworth, Rosario Dawson’s brave Batgirl and Michael Cera’s sidekick Robin.

Find out more about the performers below. Will Arnett reprises his role from The Lego Movie as the voice of the film’s leading character, Batman/Bruce Wayne. While in the first film, Batman added a comic relief and helped Emmet (Chris Pratt) take down evil tyrant Lord Business (Will Ferrell), this time around Batman has his own big-screen adventure. Batman returns to save Gotham City from being taken over by the Joker (Zach Galifianakis). Arnett also voiced characters in Despicable Me and Ratatouille. Jenny Slate voices the Joker’s confidant, the mischievous Harley Quinn. It's not her first time voicing a role. She also is Tammy on the TV series Bob’s Burgers and had voice roles in The Secret Life of Pets (as the voice of Gidget) and Zootopia (as the voice of Bellwether). Slate will also voice a role in Despicable Me 3, set for release in June. Oscar nominee Ralph Fiennes voices the character Alfred Pennyworth, Bruce Wayne’s childhood legal guardian and butler in the DC Comics and action films.

Never failing to provide comical relief with his somewhat sarcastic attitude, Pennyworth guides Bruce as he carries out his superhero duties. Fiennes recently voiced a character in Kubo and the Two Strings. Barbara Gordon, the daughter of police commissioner James Gordon and who later becomes fellow crime fighter Batgirl, is voiced by Rosario Dawson. Dawson next stars as Claire Temple in the Netflix original series The Defenders, premiering later this year. Zach Galifianakis will voice Batman’s best-known foe, the Joker. In the film, the Joker attempts to take over Gotham City, but not without facing Batman first. The Hangover actor will next star in the films Tulip Fever and A Wrinkle in Time. Michael Cera voices Robin, the yang to Batman/Bruce’s yin. The Juno also has signed on to appear in Twin Peaks later  this year, as well as star alongside Rob Lowe and Salma Hayek in How to Be a Latin Lover, set for an April release. Five-time Grammy winner Mariah Carey voices Mayor McCaskill.

In previous Batman adaptations, the mayor was male (Nestor Carbonell had the role in in The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises). This will be Carey’s first animated film. Billy Dee Williams voices the character of Harvey Dent, Gotham City’s high-profile District Attorney disfigured by an attack made by one of Batman’s villains. Williams has starred in a variety of starring roles over the last 50 years, including Lando Calrissian in the Star Wars franchise. This isn't Williams' first brush with Batman: He originally played Harvey Dent in 1989's Batman. He will next star as Tito in ABC's adaptation of the film Dirty Dancing.DC Comics has been expanding their properties on the big screen, most recently with this year's #SuicideSquad and Batman V Superman, both of which faced rather mixed reviews. However, what if there were a movie that fans and critics alike could look forward to? No, I'm not talking about the upcoming #WonderWoman (though, who isn't excited for that?); I'm talking about The LEGO Batman Movie.

The latest trailer for the movie is fantastic: With just a couple months to wait until we can enjoy the film in all its glory, it's about time we meet the voices behind DC's coolest LEGO figurines. #LEGOBatman might not be the film we deserve, but it's the film we need right now. So let's get down to business! LEGO Batman is full of notorious favorites from #Batman's Rogues Gallery, including some villains that have recently (or not so recently) made their big screen debut. Margot Robbie made a huge splash as #HarleyQuinn in Suicide Squad and is set to reprise the role in the recently announced Gotham City Sirens, but that doesn't mean Jenny Slate won't kill it as the deranged psychopath. Known for her comedic ability, Slate was a regular on SNL before playing various roles on television. She was a series regular on House of Lies for two years and also appeared as Mona Lisa in several episodes of the hit comedy show Parks and Recreation and indie movies like Obvious Child. However, Jenny Slate is no stranger to voice acting, having lent her voice to Zootopia, Bob's Burgers, and Secret Life of Pets, just to name a few.

In some exciting news, #StarWars star Billy Dee Williams will be reprising his role of Harvey Dent. He originally played the two-faced District Attorney in Tim Burton's Batman, before the series was revamped with a new Batman and Tommy Lee Jones as Two-Face. In fact, this isn't the first time Billy Dee Williams has voiced a LEGO character. In The LEGO Movie, Williams reprised his role of Lando Calrissian from Star Wars. The #Joker is synonymous with Batman, so it shouldn't be too surprising that he makes an appearance in the movie. Funny man Zach Galifianakis is the perfect person to voice a LEGO version of Batman's greatest enemy (and I'm not talking about #Superman). I was kinda surprised when the Hangover and Between Two Ferns star was announced as the Joker, as he doesn't seem to have a single evil bone in his body, but after hearing his vocal performance in the trailers, Zach will be great! Any Rogues Gallery wouldn't be complete without somebody to fight and Batman can't take down everybody without a little help from his friends.

#BruceWaynes' butler, Alfred, is probably one of the most important characters to the Batman mythos. Without Alfred who would Bruce have turned into? The voice behind Alfred has also been known as He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named (that's Voldemort from the Harry Potter series), Count Laszlo in The English Patient, Ramses in The Prince of Egypt, and Ralph Fiennes in real life. Fiennes is a two-time Oscar nominee and has voiced several animated characters, including Moon King in Kubo and the Two Strings. Rosario Dawson had her first film role when she was just 16 and in the two decades since then has built an impressive resume. Dawson will be voicing GCPD Commissioner Barbara Gordon in the movie. This isn't the first time Dawson has played a comic book character either. Most recently Dawson has been busy playing Claire Temple in all of #Marvel's Netflix shows. Canadian actor Michael Cera is perhaps best known for his role in the coming of age story Juno, but few people know he actually turned down being part of the Harry Potter franchise to voice Robin.

Like his co-star Rosario Dawson, Cera has also played a #comicbook character prior to joining the LEGO Batman movie as Robin, as he's played the titular character in Scott Pilgrim vs The World. He's also appeared in numerous television shows, notably Children's Hospital and Arrested Development. In fact, he and Batman were in Arrested Development together. #ArrestedDevelopment star Will Arnett will reprise his role of Batman from The LEGO Movie. Being the first Canadian to play Batman, Arnett gave a wonderful performance the first time around so his own solo movie should be no different. While the live action Batman movies might try to full of darkness and gloom, Arnett's Batman is funny and always ready to joke. In fact, if you want a feel for the #comedy in the movie, check out the holiday greeting Batman and crew sent out to fans: Theres nothing like celebrating the holidays with your butler and over-enthusiastic sidekick. #/dgxzPBpD58— LEGO Batman (@LEGOBatmanMovie) December 15, 2016
