Shoppers and volunteers in our stores help us generate revenue to fund our programs year-round. Your purchase helps us provide low-cost and no-cost goods directly to those in need. The Society of St. Vincent de Paul delivers furniture, clothing, and other household items to people who have experienced a terrible loss, such as a natural disaster, eviction or foreclosure, or domestic violence.
The family may have been forced to move quickly and thus needs help getting settled. We also provide items to low-income families who simply cannot afford them. Often during home visits, our volunteers discover that the family does not have furniture to sit on, a kitchen table to eat on, or beds for children to sleep in. In these cases, a voucher is provided to the family, which they can redeem for specific goods at our thrift stores.
