For some storytimes, tickets will be handed out 15 minutes before the program begins. We encourage you to determine which storytime session is most appropriate for your child and family. KIDS CODE WITH SCRATCH - For 3rd - 5th grade Monday, Febuary 27 *Registration begins Monday, February 20 4:30 p.m. @ Downtown Make something from Scratch, a computer programming language designed for kids! Children in 3rd through 5th grade will work together to create various projects, such as simple animations. Program will last about an hour. PRESCHOOL DANCE PARTY - For ages 5 & younger with adult 10:30 a.m. @ Indian Creek
Come shake, shimmy, and dance up a storm at our preschool dance party, featuring favorite songs from our children's music collection. No registration, but space is limited. Tickets will be handed out on a first come, first served basis starting 30 minutes before the program. Program will last 20 - 30 minutes. R.E.A.D. TO A DOG - For young readers of all ages 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. @ Indian Creek Young readers of all ages may drop by and read to a cuddly canine between 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. at the Indian Creek Library. Upon arrival, check in at Children's Services for a reading time. Reading sessions will be limited and available on a first come, first served basis. Trained therapy dogs provided by Pets for LIfe, Inc. FAMILY CHESS NIGHT - For all ages 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. @ Downtown 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. @ Indian Creek Come play chess with a worthy opponent at our Family Chess Nights. Boards and equipment will be provided. All ages and playing levels welcome, but kindergartners and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
HOMESCHOOL PROGRAM: BEAD IT! - For homeschoolers ages 6 - 11 (1st - 5th grade) Tuesday, March 7 *Registration begins Monday, February 27 1:30 p.m. @ Downtown Headbands, keychains, sun catchers, bracelets, what can you make with beads? We'll provide the supplies, you bring the creativity. Parents and sibling welcome. Parents must attend with younger siblings. Program will last 45 - 60 minutes. EVENING LEGO CLUB - For K - 5th grade Thursday, March 9 *Registration begins Monday, February 27 Are you a kid in kindergarten through 5th grade who loves building with LEGO bricks? Be a part of our monthly Evening LEGO Club. Each month we'll introduce a different theme, turn you loose on the library's LEGO collection to build something awesome, then let you show off your creation before you leave. Program will last about hour. PARENTS: To allow as many children as possible to experience LEGO Club, please sign up your child for only one LEGO Club session per calendar month.
STUFFED ANIMAL SLEEPOVER - For all ages Friday, March 10 - Drop Off &Storytime 5:00 p.m. @ Indian Creek Saturday, March 11 - Pick Up 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. @ Indian Creek Wear your pajamas, bring one stuffed friend, and visit the library for stories, songs, and some fun! Let your stuffed friend spend the night at the library Friday night for goofy games, silly songs, and lots of mischief. Come back on Saturday to pick up your friend and learn more about their evening at the library. AFTERSCHOOL LEGO CLUB - For K - 5th grade Monday, March 13 *Registration begins Monday, February 27 4:30 p.m. @ Indian CreekBe a part of our monthly Afterschool LEGO Club. FREE FAMILY MOVIE - For all ages THE BFG (Rated PG - 117 minutes) 1:30 p.m. @ Downtown Join us for a free family movie at the library. The whole family is welcome, but kindergartners and younger must be accompanied by an adult. All seating will be on the floor.
