Just one week following the release of a Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 trailer, Marvel has decided to gear fans up for a closer look at what to expect in the upcoming solo outing for the web-slinger with this 17-second snippet. The full trailer will be released tomorrow, but even this brief clip signals that this will thematically follow in the same footsteps as Marvel's previous Iron Man films. 33 Superhero films set for release between 2016 and 2020 It shows Peter Parker (Tom Holland) being chided by Tony Stark's bodyguard Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau) for larking around with headgear - initially, this feels like Chronicle, only more fun.

The trailer excitingly debuts the character's webbed wings which is gifted to him by Iron Man alter ego Stark - probably in thanks for assisting him in his battle against Captain America in this year's Civil War. Directed by Jon Watts, Spider-Man: Homecoming will also star Zendaya, Michael Keaton, Donald Glover, Marisa Tomei and Fargo actor Bokeem Woodbine who's expected to play the villainous character Shocker. The film will be released 7 July 2017.Superhero Bits: LEGO Batman Movie Trailer Tomorrow, Taylor Swift As Deadpool & MorePosted on Tuesday, November 1st, 2016 by Ethan AndertonHow awesome was Taylor Swift‘s Deadpool costume for Halloween? Luckily, their newest venture, LEGO Marvel’s Avengers, will be following in those footsteps. This time around, the game is based more on the Marvel Cinematic Universe instead of just the overall licensing of the comic book company, so there may not be nearly as many characters to choose from. To make up for that, though, the trailer above shows the open-world areas that players can adventure through as a member of the Avengers team. It appears the storyline missions will only follow Marvel’s Phase 2 movies, set between Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron. Players will be able to explore Asgard and Svartalfheim from Thor: The Dark World, Tony Stark’s Malibu home from Iron Man 3, sections of Washington DC from Captain America: The Winter Soldier, the S.H.I.E.L.D. base exterior from Avengers, and finally they can explore Sokovia, South Africa, and the Barton farm from Avengers: Age of Ultron. The one place that the trailer seems to be most proud of, though, is the gigantic, open-world version of New York City that players can run, jump, fly, and fight their way through.

This makes the most sense, seeing as New York is the biggest part of Marvel lore. As one can expect with any LEGO game there will be plenty of characters to choose from as you battle crime across the world. However, this time around the X-Men will not be included, due to Marvel not owning the film rights to those characters. More surprising, though, is the exclusion of Ant-Man, despite the fact that Wasp will be a playable character in the game. Then again, he could always get added on as DLC. LEGO Marvel’s Avengers will be released for every gaming platform, other than smartphones and tablets, on January 26th, 2016. Be sure to let us know what you think of the trailer in the comments below. Featured Image: Warner Bros. Interactive Lego and TT Games’ last digital foray into the Marvel universe offered all of Manhattan for players to run, fly, and punch their way through. New York returns in Lego Marvel’s Avengers, but it’s not the only sprawling area on which players can test the strength of Earth’s Mightiest (and Brick-iest) Heroes.

The latest look at Lego Marvel’s Avengers showcases the different areas players will be able to traverse outside of the game’s main missions. While some might not be as dense or far-reaching as the game’s take on New York, there are still a host of iconic spots from the Marvel Cinematic Universe included in the game. From the Barton homestead and Sokovia from Avengers: Age of Ultron to Thor‘s Asgard and Tony Stark’s Malibu mansion, a host of the MCU’s mainstay locales have been recreated in the game. As previously revealed, Lego Marvel’s Avengers will deliver content based not just on the two Avengers films but another of other MCU movies and shows like Iron Man 3 and Agent Carter. Players will be able to suit up as their favorite Marvel heroes beginning Jan. 26, when Lego Marvel’s Avengers hits the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Windows PC, Wii U, and Nintendo 3DS Iron Man 3 has good things in it, enough to please the series' fans -- and yet too many drawbacks to win many converts.
