LEGO The Lord of the Rings [Portable] - 4 years 2 months ago Welcome to the Middle-earth Collectibles section for Rivendell in LEGO The Lord of the Rings. This page displays the location and a brief description of how to obtain  each Mithril Brick, Red Brick, Quest and Unlockable Character scattered throughout the Middle-earth overworld map. EditRivendell (Note: Always travel to each section at night by choosing the moon icon next to the map stone, as some collectibles can only be found when its dark. All other collectibles can be found either time of day.) On the western side of Rivendell, throw Gimli into the Cracked Lego Tile atop the broken pillar, then shoot the target inside -- which will extend three platforms allowing you to jump to the Mithril brick.2. Head up the stairs in the middle of Rivendell and around the left side of the moat. Once you've reached the building balcony, destroy six bouncing statues within six seconds of one another to claim the Mithril brick.3.Head to the path on the eastern side of the moat and use a Strong Character to pull the door open there.

Hop over to the stone pillars on the left and fill up your bucket with water. Jump on the springy leaf to reach the vines above, then hop over to the top of the giant stone Lego head and put out the fire. The head will lift, allowing you to grab the crank underneath. Take it back to the entrance and attach it to the gear, then crank the next head up. Switch to Sam and enter the Small Character Hatch; on the other side, use his rope to pull the yellow hook. The final head will pop up, revealing a tomb with the Mithril brick.4. On the southeastern side of the northern building, switch to Gimli and break the Cracked Tile there to raise a stone pillar. Jump up and climb the zig-zag path, then shoot a target to extend a bridge. Walk through the tunnel at the end to grab the Mithril brick in the tomb.5. Jump straight down from the previous balcony and destroy the Morgul lock on the tomb to find another Mithril brick.6. Climb up the eastern-most building, walking along the narrow rail on its roof, then swing around the spire's arrow poles to get the Mithril brick.7.Head east along the cliff, jumping along the small islands to reach the waterfall.

Jump through it and once inside the cavern, head left up the winding walkway. Climb the wall with Gollum, and switch to Sam to grow the plant near the ledge. Use the springy leaf to jump up to the top of the faceless stone Lego head and break the Cracked Tile there to find the Mithril brick.8. Head back into the cavern, up the same winding walkway, and climb the wall with Gollum again. At the top, switch to an elf and jump onto the tightrope, then swing on the arrow poles and vine to reach the Mithril brick. Follow the path to the right of the northern-most building with the moat. Shoot the lily pad and hop across to the hand-hold on the building's foundation. Shimmy over to the left to find an alcove where an elf needing the Mithril Gloves awaits. Give them to her and you'll gain the right to buy the Studs x2 Red brick for 250,00 studs. On the elevated walkway near the map stone in Rivendell, you'll find a elf that wants the Luminous Stone. Bring it to him for a Mithril brick.12. Under the western 'L'-shaped building in the center of Rivendell, destroy the debris on the checkered path and push the block to the end.

Crawl through the Small Character Hatch to reach the character needing the Quill. Once you give it to him you'll receive a Mithril brick. From the elevated walkway near the map stone, drop down behind two tall Lego-stone pillars to nab the Mithril Spring Boots Blacksmith design. Near the map stone, up on the elevated walkway, you'll find Elrond (Second Age) for 200,000 studs.15. On the western edge of Rivendell you'll find Bilbo Baggins for 125,000 studs.16. At Rivendell's eastern-most point (right of the waterfall), blow open the cave blocked by silver blocks. Gloin will walk out and offer himself for 25,000 studs.17. On the balcony of the northern-most building you'll find Elrond (Third Age) for 200,000 studs.Mithril Blacksmith Objects | LEGO The Lord of the Rings [Portable] Wiki Guide The Pass of Caradhras (overworld) The Black Gate (overworld) PS Vita, DS, 3DS, Wii Differences Easter Eggs and SecretsWhen the eagle drops you off, hold [Up] to cause your character to fall into the water.

Mirkwood Elf (Chief Guard)Alice Finch, best known as the woman who brought a more-or-less exact replica of Hogwarts to Emerald City Comicon in March, is back. This time, she teamed with fellow Lego architect David Frank and created an insane 10-foot-by-5-foot replica of Rivendell from J.R.R. Tolkein’s The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings that uses approximately 200,000 bricks — including Gungan shields dressed up as elvish windows, pieces of Boba Fett’s Slave I ship turned into the green siding of Arwen’s tower, and multiple Darth Vader Lego men in the role of the Nazgûl (!!). “David built 12 baseplates, and I had 20 to do, so I had started earlier,” Finch told WIRED of the project, which she embarked on at the beginning of this year. Frank, she said, didn’t have to begin his share until July, “so for me, [it took] somewhere between 1,200 to 1,400 hours, give or take a few. If I had to guess, I’d say maybe 800 hours for David,” Finch said. Just to clarify, that’s somewhere between 83 and 91 full days of snapping together Legos.

The team independently worked their own sections of the elven outpost — Finch and Frank live about an hour away from one another in the Seattle area — while occasionally meeting up “to make sure our color schemes and roof patterns were staying aligned, building styles looked related but not the same, landscapes matched, and waterways and paths looked natural,” Finch told the Brothers Brick this week. They even had help from their respective sons; the pair told the Lego bloggers that Frank’s two boys did most of the water designs, while Finch’s sons, ages 5 and 10, contributed work on the trees, Nazgûl and dwarves. Finch and Frank premiered their Rivendell earlier this year at the 2013 BrickCon in Seattle; if you missed it there, the pair will be exhibiting it at Portland’s Bricks Cascade convention March 6-9 and at Seattle’s Emerald City Comic Con March 28-30 (thanks to lessons learned from building Hogwarts, transport and reassembly are much easier this time around).
