The debut trailer for Logan might be one of the pop culture highlights of 2016. The strength of its soundtrack alone made sure that anybody paying attention to the biggest bits of entertainment in 2017, would be paying attention to Logan. The trailer is so strong, it was remade entirely in Legos and is somehow just as moving.Set to Johnny Cash’s famous rendition of “Hurt,” the trailer for Logan immediately places the film in a different context from its official predecessors, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and The Wolverine. Darker and grittier with a hint of realism, Logan takes place in the dark future where mutants are just about extinct and the world is basically a post-apocalyptic wasteland. The fanmade Lego trailer by YouTube account “TheBrickRanger” is a literal translation of the first Logan trailer using Lego bricks. Some substitutions were made, of course, as there are no “Sad Logan in suit” minifigs (yet), but for the most part the Lego trailer remains fairly loyal to the original.

With the success Warner Bros. has with their own Lego films, the trailer makes a strong case for Logan to also push a Lego-fied version of the film, hopefully with more pop culture references and sly humor. The best little bits of the trailer are the added details Brick Ranger adds to the trailer, like the fake blood that looks to be made of clay. Either way, this fan trailer basically shows that the Logan trailer is great no matter what form it takes … or that Johnny Cash’s “Hurt” can make anything amazing.Logan hits theaters March 3, 2017. “Lego Logan” will probably never hit theaters.Photos via The Brick Ranger Drive to all the horse events in Heartlake with Aunt Sophie and her special Horse Vet Trailer, and be on the ball to help injured ponies right away! Ages: 6-12WARNING: Choking Hazard, Small Parts. Not for Children Under 3. 6 - 12 Years Most Helpful Customer Reviews See all customer reviewsPeter Capaldi has arguably the best eyebrows of any Doctor featured on the legendary British series, Doctor Who. And when all 12 of them feature on an upcoming Lego Dimensions game, the Scot made that very same observation. “I’m the most scowling Lego ever,” Capaldi told Den of Geek. He also has plenty of company in the game, which comes out on September 27. Not only do all of his predecessor’s in Who‘s 52-year TV history join him, so do characters from Jurassic Park, Scooby-Doo, Back to the Future, DC Comics, The Lord of the Rings, and The Lego Movie, CNET reported. — Blogtor Who (@BlogtorWho) July 9, 2015 — Polygon (@Polygon) July 9, 2015 How on Earth does this unusual mish-mash of characters end up together? Evidently, Batman, Wild Style, Gandalf, and Scooby-Doo are all hanging out when they accidently end up in the TARDIS together and meet the Doctor, voiced by Capaldi.

And Batman simply can’t understand that the alien is a time traveler. The most exciting aspect of the game is the fact that 12 Doctors will have a role, and the way in which players can embody each character aligns with the show in genius fashion. You start as the first Doctor, and when the character dies, you regenerate into the next one, just like on Doctor Who. When you get to be Peter’s incarnation and die, you go back to the beginning, Gizmodo explained. Even better, each regeneration matches up with the corresponding TARDIS control room and show theme song. Capaldi is the only one of the show’s many actors whose voice appears in the Lego game. Co-stars Jenna Coleman (Clara) and Michelle Gomez (Missy), will also feature. Legendary villains, the Daleks and Cybermen, will also appear. If that wasn’t enough to satisfy Who fans, the Lego Dimensions announcement was made alongside the reveal of the trailer for the show’s ninth season, which premieres Sept. 19.

Talking with Den of Geek, Peter hinted at some interesting twists in the next season, possibly playing with the intriguing relationship between him and Clara. All the actor would say of the pairing is: “where I’d like it to go is where it’s going to go.” But as sidekicks go, Clara has pretty much been the best. “(He) is less socially adept. He’s not good with other people. So, very quickly, it became clear that because we wanted to make him not good with people, we have to expand Clara’s character to help him. So in a way, she became more of his mentor. But the thing of Doctor Who is the (he) knows everything. So, he knows what’s going to befall (her), and what’s going to happen to (her).” Which is enough to have every Who fan terrified by what’s coming up next season. September can’t come soon enough. The Star Wars: Rogue One trailer got the Lego treatment By Geek Girl Diva 05.09.2016 :: 5:02PM EST @geekgirldiva I’ll admit that I’m already a fan of both Star Wars and Lego trailers, so it’s a good bet that I loved this new Rogue One trailer in Lego pretty much from the start, but there’s so much to love here.

It says something about the trailer itself that it can be redone in Lego and retain the tension and gravitas of the original, but you have to give a lot of credit to the creators because they did some pretty amazing work. The Lego Star Destroyer set against the Lego Death Star was pretty epic, and can you ever go wrong with a Lego Gonk droid? The more I see of Rogue One in any form, the more excited I am for this Star Wars movie, especially because it’s unlike any Star Wars movie before in that it’s a one-off and will begin and end in one movie. We know the basics of the story: it’s a heist to steal the plans for the Death Star, but how that happens and who’s involved is surely worth a full story. Plus, is it me or does Mon Mothma come off no matter what she’s made of? The animators also made behind the scenes and VFX breakdown videos if you’re into that sort of thing (I am), so they’re included for your viewing pleasure. If you want to know more about the talented people who make this video, head over to the Animator’s Collective and read about them.
