Skeets (@jeskeets) May 17, 2016Since the Raptors are the only other team in the playoffs not listed in the poll, Tory took offense on his hometown team's behalf. The mayor wrote a scathing response to CBS Sports chairman, Sean McManus, in which he, much like Birdman, asked McManus to put some respect on his city's name.In his response, Tory took shots at CBS Sports, the Miami Heat, and even Dwyane Wade. He then posted the whole thing to Twitter, even adding a personalized hashtag, #WetheOther. As Mayor of 'Other' I felt the need to talk to @CBSSports about their poll.

#/CYRqOljXHc- John Tory (@JohnTory) May 17, 2016While this is a fierce and admirable defense of the city's very earnest basketball team, Tory got upset up for nothing because it turns out that the poll was created before the Raptors beat the Heat. CBS Sports explained the unfortunate timing in a since-deleted tweet, showing there was no intentional shade thrown toward Toronto and the Raptors. Although, given the track record of sensitivity and defensiveness of Toronto's residents — Drake, Norm Kelly — perhaps there should be.Tory, Kelly, Drake...maybe Toronto is just a haven for people with all the feelings to reside. Free Sneak Preview of The LEGO Batman Movie in 3D, Saturday, February 4th, at 5 p.m.! Movie runtime is 114 minutes. Seating is limited so please arrive early. For more information, call 757-433-2112.“” feels like a Franken-western, stitched together from pieces of previous movies. That’s not all bad, necessarily, but it does make this two-hour pilot, bearing the stamp of hankie-waving producer , about as tidy as a stable in the early going, drunkenly flitting around among multiple plots. Lauren Ambrose (“Six Feet Under”) is the anchor as a mother struggling to raise her kids during the Civil War, before her Confederate/outlaw brother, former lover and runaway slaves enter the picture. The Sparks connection might help the battle of launching the show, but greater coherence is needed to avoid losing the war. Lifetime has done the project and potential viewers no favors, airing a series prototype as a “programming event.” The problem is that there’s no real ending, so the story doesn’t conclude so much as simply run out of time. It’s also a little disorienting to have Skeet Ulrich appear as a “special guest star,” then have virtually no significant role in the plot.

Ambrose’s Belle is overseeing a ranch in Deliverance Creek, Missouri, holding together her family without word from her husband in more than two years. Not that she’s been pining for him, instead taking up with the local deputy, while rebuffing the boorish advances of a married neighbor. Soon, Belle’s brother (Christopher Backus) re-enters the picture, having put together a band of rovers, including one with whom Belle shares a history, who are intent on pulling off a robbery. On a separate track, Belle’s sister (Caitlin Custer) is assisting the Underground Railroad and a family of escaped slaves seeking safe haven in Deliverance Creek, led by a resourceful mother (Yaani King) who aims to reunite with her boys. Written by Melissa Carter (“Jane by Design”), directed by Jon Amiel and produced under Sparks’ shingle (which Lifetime, naturally, is promoting), the premiere thus feels like at least four different stories — the Civil War, a robbery caper, a revenge plot, a long-deferred romance — all thrown together in an overheated jumble.

To an extent, that’s helpful; it’s as if the entire show is produced using shorthand. But the tradeoff is that it’s difficult to keep track of the characters, much less care about them. For fans of westerns, the production offers a reasonably gritty view of the period, and a few unforeseen twists. But it does little to whet one’s appetite for a series pickup. As presented, it simply feels like Lifetime saw Sparks’ name and decided to cast “Deliverance Creek” into the waters of primetime — with too many paddles rowing in different directions. TV Review: 'Deliverance Creek'Facebook decided to do the revision of the rules of advertising and to limit the use of targeting towards the "ethnic community". From now on companies will not be able to use this option in the ads on the topic of employment, credit services, as well as the sale or rental. About two weeks ago the possibility of targeting by ethnicity on Facebook was actively critisized. In particular, it was noted that in this way the social network violates the users’ civil rights.

Therefore, Facebook decided to ban this option in the above areas. Bisedes, the company will also make changes in the advertising policy. Under the new rules, the brand companies will not be able to post "discriminatory advertisements." Changes will take effect by the end of this year. Targeting option to ethnic communities will be moved from the demographic to behavioral category. When the new system is fully launched, advertisers will receive a warning concerning the violation of service policy when buying the ads. If the advertiser ignores the warnings and automatic announcements confirmation will not be able to recognize the action of violation, the users themselves will have to inform about the violations. Later, Facebook will publish some recommendations on how to advertise housing, employment and credit services under the new rules. Twitter Vice President in partnership with Rishi Jaitly said he is leaving the company. He was in charge for such regions as Asia-Pacific, Middle East and North Africa.

According to Jaitly, the reason why he is leaving is his desire to "move towards new opportunities." The top manager commented on Twitter: "We are so grateful to Rishi Jaitly for his contribution to the entrepreneurial spirit and leadership he demonstrated during the 4 years working for Twitter. Thanks to him we were able to enter the fast-growing Indian market. Jaitly helped to launch and develop Twitter in the new countries. He has also successfully developed partnerships with the media in the Asia-Pacific region and the Middle East." Before becoming a part of Twitter Jaitly was the head of the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, and served as director of development of relations with partners in the Google India. We should remind you that earlier this year other four executives announced their resignation: the Product vice president Kevin Weil, Vice President of Engineering Alex Rotter, the head of media Katie Stanton and Vice-President of Human Resources Brian Schipper. It became known that another two key executives are leaving Twitter: the vice-president of global business development and platform Jana Messerschmidt and vice president of Commerce Nathan Hubbard.

Twitter again lost its Product CEO in June. In July it became known that the vice president of media partnership in North America, Kirstin Stewart, is also planning to leave the company. Google starts testing mobile-first index. It means that in the near future, the search algorithms will be primarily assessed by the relevance of a mobile version of the page and alternatively by the desktop. This information was published in the company's blog. Today more and more people are searching through mobile devices. However, Google's ranking system continues evaluating the relevance of the desktop version of the page. In order to make the search results more useful Google started testing mobile-first index. Although the search index will remain united, eventually Google's ranking algorithms will primarily evaluate the mobile version of the page. In the coming months Google will experiment the updated index with some users. Having finished the testing, the system will be launched around the world.

Despite the fact that the process of transition to mobile-first index is only on its way to be introduced to the public, Google has prepared several recommendations for the webmasters: • If your website is configured as an adaptive or dynamic display design, in which the main content and layout are identical for both mobile and desktop devices, no changes to be applied in this case • If a website configuration requires different content for mobile and desktop devices, it is necessary to perform the following changes: o Make sure that the structured markup is used in mobile and desktop website version. o Check the equivalence of micro markup on both desktop and mobile version using the structured Google data testing tool. o By adding structured data on the mobile website, you should avoid including a large number of micro markup, which is not relevant to a specific content of each document. o Use a robots.txt file verification tool to verify that the mobile version of the site is accessible to Googlebot.

o It is not necessary to apply changes to the canonical URL. Google will keep considering these attributes to display matching results to mobile and desktop users. • If you have confirmed only the desktop version of the website in the Search Console, you should also add the mobile resource version. • If you have only got a desktop website, Google will go on indexing it, even if the mobile user agent is used to view the resource. • You should keep in mind that when creating a mobile version a functional, focused on desktop website is much better than an incomplete or non-mobile version. Please launch the mobile version only when it is completely ready to use. As it was already stated earlier Google will launch a separate mobile code and make it the primary in the coming months. Now it turned out that the index will remain the same for all types of documents. A study by Outbrain shows that search is the #1 driver of traffic to content sites, beating social media by more than 300%.
