Fandom is up to its armpits in pop culture news this week, what with today being the first full day of San Diego Comic-Con 2016. And we’ve got a couple of especially sweet little nuggets for you right here in Movie Morsels. Including the reveal of the Clown Prince of Crime and the Boy Wonder in The LEGO Batman Movie, a new Suicide Squad promo video focusing on Harley Quinn, and much more! The good folks at USA Today have a brand-spanking-new, first-ever look at the Joker and Robin in The LEGO Batman Movie. And it appears in the photos below that the Dark Knight’s sidekick (voiced by Michael Cera) may create just as much trouble for him as his arch-nemesis (voiced by Zach Galifianakis). Then again, maybe the villain isn’t so very arch this time around… Says director Chris McKay, “The Joker sees himself on the same level as Batman, a peer, at the top of the game. But Batman says that’s not the case, which sends Joker into a spiral trying to prove to Batman that he is indeed the greatest enemy.”

The deluge of Suicide Squad promo videos continues with one devoted to perhaps the most popular member of the team (if the cosplay at this year’s Comic-Con is any indication): the one and only Harley Quinn. Will Margot Robbie’s wild card antihero outshine even the Joker himself? Hey, August 5th—hurry up and get here already! I’m not sure if I should express sympathy for Divergent Series fans or congratulate them. On the one hand, the final film in the franchise will not debut in theaters but instead head right for TV (which means it might lose stars Shailene Woodley and Theo James). But on the other hand, the film will launch a Divergent TV series. Since it’s always good to put a little horror in your diet (it’s good for the digestion, I hear), we’ve got the new trailer for the supernatural thriller Before I Wake. Kate Bosworth and Thomas Jane star as the parents of a little boy whose dreams, and nightmares, are made manifest. The film comes from Oculus and Absentia director Mike Flanagan and opens on September 9.

Finally today, we have the trailer for Liam Neeson’s Operation Chromite, a Korean war drama about Douglas MacArthur and the U.S. military campaign to remove North Korea from Seoul. Neeson’s played some hard-nosed fellows before, but has he ever played a tougher sonuvabitch than MacArthur?! The offensive begins on August 12. What do you think of today’s top stories? Following his introduction in Christopher Miller and Phil Lord’s The LEGO Movie, Will Arnett is set to reprise his role as LEGO Batman for a solo outing directed by Chris McKay, with the former directing duo set for producing duties. The Caped Crusader was easily one of the standouts from the original movie, so a spin-off solo film which can flesh out the DC universe in LEGO form looks set to be one of the highlights of 2017’s movie releases. Robin will be voiced by Michael Cera in the upcoming film (Picture: Warner Bros) In these new images debuted on USA Today, we finally get our first look at Michael Cera’s Robin and Zach Galifianakis as The Joker – and we can’t quite get over how adorable Robin looks. No seriously, look at his huge googly-eyes and sparkling yellow cape. He’s the most wonderfully camp thing ever committed to brick. Robin just looks ADORABLE (Picture: Warner Bros) The Joker looks more suitably nasty, with a razor sharp teeth which are sure to become the butt-end of jokes if the original LEGO Movie is anything to go by.
