fter packaging 27 pieces of glass for 3 doors, which were in 3 packs of 9 but bundled together we were sorry to hear they'd been mishandled during transit and arrived shattered into tiny pieces. Not wanting to risk a recurrence I decided to take them myself and deliver them by han...d. I set off at 9.15am arriving at 12.45pm. They were extremely gracious and glad to open the package to see 27 pieces of glass and not a few thousand. Due to traffic I got back at 5.40pm, the sat nav directed me the quickest way which was still busy and hectic, I even had to pay 12p toll to go over a weak bridge near Lymm, which I won't be claiming back 😂😂 Overall it was a satisfying day, 8 hours driving but worth the end result, I'm sure the customer will be grateful their glass is fitted into their 3 interior doors well in time for Christmas. People often ask me why it can't be used outside. This photograph shows why. I describe it like Weetabix. When you put milk on Weetabix it swells and goes mushy. Chipboard does the same but a lot slower. It will swell first then eventually break down. MDF is also not suitable for exterior use. The best board for exterior use is plywood.I want the stay and latch replaced on two windows. I have purchased the replacements, just need them fixing.
