Each Spink & Edgar Upholstery sofa is hand-built to order by a team of skilled craftsmen, which means you can tailor your sofa to suit you and your home. We understand that everyone’s comfort levels may vary, which is why Spink & Edgar Upholstery offer different filling options so you can choose how soft or firm you would like your sofa. Spinks Springs are a pocket spring manufacturer who supplies world-leading low height micro-coil pocket springs including Posturflo, Posturfil and NatureCoil. These quality components are not only used within mattresses, but Spinks Springs supplies such components to a wide range of other industries including upholstery, automotive, aviation and footwear industries. Spinks Springs have a highly skilled engineering team who design and manufacture their own machines to ensure the unique spring technology is made to the exact requirements.
And with the belief that you make great springs from great wire, Spinks Springs now draws its own wire in-house, thus producing finer wire than is commercially available within the market. Continuously innovating, Spinks Springs has most recently won the prestigious German Design Award 2016, as well as the Interzum Intelligent Material and Design Award in 2015 for their revolutionary new Posturflo 3D product. Utilising our 175 years’ experience making adult-sized mattresses, we have developed a nursery division which designs and manufactures premium, supportive cot mattresses for babies and infants up to five years old. From large hotels to quirky boutique guest houses, each bed and mattress is lovingly hand-crafted to the customer’s exact requirements. Hornington Manor is a Grade II listed manor house, set within the grounds of the Harrison Spinks farm in the sleepy village of Bolton Percy, less than 10 miles from York. Built in 1770, Hornington Manor has been lovingly restored to the highest quality, and now offers four sets of wonderfully unique luxury self-catering accommodation, offering weekend breaks and mid-week retreats in an idyllic setting. The Manor is also a beautiful wedding venue, with the newly-converted rustic barn proving to be a popular choice for couples.
Of course, all the beds in the Manor have been hand-crafted at Harrison Spinks and contain natural fillings grown within the grounds of our farm. Some of the natural fillings come from our own farm in Yorkshire where we have our own flock of sheep and grow hempure and flax, meaning that every bed has optimum luxury and softness.
