We have a fairly large office building, and often I'm the only one here. My office is in the back of the building, and I often find myself on edge or startled when a package is delivered. I needed a way to alert me that someone was here, so after a lot of comparison shopping, I opted for this.My boss spent a lot of money having our walls custom painted with various finishes, so I couldn't put any adhesive strips or screws into the wall. I decided to get crafty and retrofit the mount to adhere to an outlet cover. We have an outlet at the front door, so it's a good place to keep it discretely. Great for the price.| For the price, this is a pretty good unit. Do not get frustrated when you need to "mess with it" to get the angle perfect. You will need to play around with it to get the angle perfect. The sensor unit is lightweight. I didn't want to screw it in due to the placement needs for our suite, so I used a piece of Gorilla Tape and it has worked very well. I work in the back corner but I need to know when people come and go, so this worked. You'll see in the video that it does take a few seconds to get around to lighting up because the little eye moves back and forth to scan, but rarely do I get a case where someone walks in without the alarm going off. (The sensor went off just as I hit "record," so it took a few seconds to get back to me.) My sensor is near the front door and I'm in the back corner of our 4352 square foot office... the chime goes off perfectly. I wasn't sure at first, but this is definitely a good doorbell for the price. There is one, standard "ding-dong, ding-dong" bell.
It is easy to turn down low, but this could possibly get annoying if it's up to high. A very useful product for my business!I have the motion sensor on my front porch & it works great! There are 4 volume options which gives an adequate range, depending on what you want. The various ringtones are mostly old songs, so kind of long. I just like the classic doorbell, but the only one is like a double-push (ding dong, ding dong). Would be nice to just have a one or two tone option. But it has been working perfectly since I set it up a week ago & I am very happy with it. I made a video scrolling through all the different chimes.
