Luckily the condo owner did have some chairs. So every day we had to haul all of this stuff down the elevator, around the building, through the pool area to get to the sand, then we had to walk in deep scorching hot sand through the dune area because there was not a walkway. We ended up having to wear sneakers because the sand was so hot! Anyway, I am trying to find a place that has the chairs and umbrellas on the beach for us to use and that has a walkway / boardwalk through the dune area.
Do you experts know which places provide these amenities? From what I understand, there is a local company that does the umbrellas and chairs and they set up pretty early in the morning before people venture out for the day. As far as I know, you plop yourself down on a chair with your stuff and they will come around to collect. Also, there should be a flier that you can find to call the company to come and set up for you. In the past, we have always taken our own and set up in the morning and keep it up all day as we go in and out of the condo. This year, I am just in the mood to plant myself and pay for it. the umbrella has to go down pretty deep to not blow over. The company uses college guys with a drill. , probably $25 a day for 2 chairs & unbrella. Sheraton, Penninsula, Sapphire all have chairs and umbrellas. is it really going to be a hassle to tote them to the beach? That never occured to me. There's a good walkway to the beach from the Saida complex. Love Bridgepoint and they have this service.I didnt realize that some places it is complmentary! That is too cool. We are staying at Suntide and they have a service, but I assumed to pay for it.
