Skip to main content Vacation Rentals on Florida's Pristine Beaches The beaches of Mexico Beach, WindMark Beach, and Cape San Blas offer wonderful and exquisite properties to help make the most of your vacation. Try to imagine white sugar sand beaches, beautiful emerald and aqua Gulf waters, and a slower more relaxed place to unwind, decompress and enjoy making memories with friends and family that will last a lifetime. That's what we offer. Welcome to Florida's Unforgetable Coast, a beach vacation destination you will never forget. For the past couple of years we have spent Christmas at our favorite beach, Cape San Blas, Florida. We love this beach so, so much. It’s pet-friendly, so Miley, Howie, and Winnie can take walks on the beach with us every morning. Cape San Blas is on a stretch of beach called “The Forgotten Coast“. You can see why! We had the beach almost all to ourselves. There are no huge condominiums here. Cape San Blas has the BEST seashells!!

The cape faces west so the sun sets over the water every night. You can even build bonfires on the beach! Every night we would build a bonfire, watch the sunset, and make s’mores. We always stay at Barrier Dunes Vacation Rentals in Cape San Blas. I am standing on the beach taking this photo, so that is how close you are to the beach at Barrier Dunes. The amenities at The Cape Escape cannot be beat!!! They come with everything from free Wi-Fi, covered garage, beach chairs, beach buckets, shovels, and toys, a cooler, spices for cooking (you can fish right on the beach!), pack & plays, high chairs — all the necessities so you don’t have to haul everything with you! They even have extras for your pet! The Cape Escape Vacation Rentals come with dog towels and a food bowl. There are also pet stations provided throughout the neighborhood to keep the beaches clean and make it easy for you! Our condo was a 4-story, 3 bed, 3.5 bath beach front unit. The first story is the covered garage…

And the second story is the living room, dining room, full kitchen, half bath, and a balcony with direct access to the beach. We could walk out the living room straight down the the beach. The third story is two bedrooms and two bathrooms… One of the bedrooms has it’s own private balcony directly facing the beach. The second bedroom would be perfect for a couple of kiddos! There’s even a laundry unit on this floor. The top floor is the private master suite with bathroom, walk-in closet, and another private beachfront balcony. Here’s a link to the exact unit where we stayed. For more options, check out out The Cape Escape Vacation Rentals. The have a great site with tons of info and pictures on each unit. A healthy run can be fun, especially in a location as beautiful as Cape San Blas. Set out for a vigorous run or go biking on the Loggerhead Run Bike Path. This is perfect for members of the family who want to get a little exercise in during their vacation. Those interested in events such as fairs or festivals may also choose to drive just a short distance from their Cape San Blas, Florida, vacation rentals to Port St. Joe.

At Port St. Joe, people can enjoy events such as the Kids Win Fishing Tournament, which takes place in May or August, depending on the year. The annual Scallop and Music Festival is another unique event that people in Cape San Blas may journey to Port Saint Joe to take part in. This event takes place in September. Travelers often talk about "Old Florida," that ideal spot that time has forgotten where a visitor can sit and talk to residents and learn about the history and personality of a place; a spot with pristine beaches and no high-rise beach condos. Cape San Blas vacation rentals allow you that private beach respite you desire. Wind swept dunes of powdery white sand, unspoiled natural beauty, and a quiet lifestyle are top draws of this area along the north Gulf of Mexico. You can even opt to ride a horse on the white sands. The area offers pet-friendly beaches and many Cape San Blas vacation rentals are pet friendly as well. Visitors enjoy the quiet waters of St. Joseph Bay and the T.H. Stone Memorial St. Joseph Peninsula State Park where you can enjoy bird watching and views of nature while kayaking that most people only experience while watching the nature channel.

The Cape San Blas lighthouse is a big draw as is scalloping in mid to late summer. To get to this quiet community you'll need a car, but once you're there, you'll probably opt for walking and biking. These slower paced activities are the best way to soak in the natural beauty of the community. Another popular form of getting around is by boat or kayak both of which you can rent in Cape San Blas. Cape San Blas winter temps hover around the low 50s while summers are warm in the 80s and 90s. Like most of Florida, the summers are humid but that is helped by the breezes off the gulf. Hurricane season runs from June 1-November 30 but the most favorable times for hurricanes to churn is September-November. Cape San Blas is largely residential but the Cape Trading Post, a general store, carries a bit of everything from groceries to souvenirs. They even have free Wi-Fi. For more intensive retail therapy you'll need to visit the nearby towns of Apalachicola or Port St. Joe. If you've been looking for the perfect spot for some quiet time by the water, this is it.
