Description of Business: This company provides beach chair and umbrella delivery and setup for Charleston, Isle of Palms, Sullivan’s Island and surrounding areas for beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, and bicycles. Description of Area: This area is an island on the South Carolina coast, less than 20 minutes from Charleston. With its 6 miles of white, sandy beaches, the location is a place of beautiful serenity for residents and visitors. When walking around the island, watch the sky and water for wildlife. Osprey nests can be spied, pelicans soar and dive for their dinner, dolphins frolic, and giant loggerhead sea turtles come ashore to lay their eggs. If you’re lucky, you might see hundreds of baby turtles making a mad dash for the ocean. The island is home to many nesting sea turtles and the community works together to protect these endangered animals. Boating opportunities include kayaks, canoes, sailboats, fishing boats and even harbor cruises. Personal water craft like Jet Skis can be rented to explore nearby islands.
Getting around the island is easy, with most roads having marked bike paths for safety. Bicycle and rollerblade rentals are available on the island. Travel Time to the job site, example: 12 hours from New York by bus. : There will also be many opportunities for second jobs in the area. This job will require you to be active salesmen and it also will require you to carry chairs and umbrellas around the beach and properly install the umbrellas as well as collect these items at the end of the day. You will be paid based on a 15% commission. Most students are easily able to earn at least $300.00 per week, and if you are a hard worker you can earn more. However please be avare that at the beginning of the summer, the beaches may be less crowded, however business will definitely pick up. Please also be aware that this job is dependent on the weather.
However there are many 2nd jobs available in the area. Salary and Bonuses: 15% Comission (Expect to earn $300.00 per week). Possible raises are available. Work Hours: 5-6 days per week, 8 hours per day. : You will need an international driver’s license for this job as it will require you to drive and deliver the rentals.
