In order to assure all attendees, staff members, and faculty have the most education and enjoyable experience while attending Pikes Peak Writers Conference, we’ve instituted some policies by which we expect everyone at our gathering to adhere to. So you are familiar with our policies, please click the following links to read through what is expected of everyone. Pikes Peak Writers Conference Badge and Pass Transfer Policy Conference badges, which allow for admission to conference sessions, are non-transferable unless prior permission is given by either the conference director or conference administrator. Please read the full policy before attempting to transfer a badge or meal pass. Code of Conduct At Pikes Peak Writer’s Conference, we strive to provide the best experience possible. We pride ourselves on an event that is enjoyable, educational, friendly, and safe for our Faculty, Staff, Volunteers, and Attendees. Refund Policy Please review our cancellation policies to ensure there are no surprises if you need to cancel your Pikes Peak Writers Conference registration. Payment Plan Policy If you plan on taking advantage of our payment plan registration system, please review the full policy regarding this plan. Consignment Policy If you intend on selling books at Pikes Peak Writers Conference, please read the bookstore consignment policy to ensure you are prepared to work with our wonderful bookstore staff. Because of space considerations, we can’t accept all books from everyone, so before you haul books to PPWC, ensure you know what is accepted and what is not. Underage Attendees For all Pikes Peak Writers events, including, but not limited to, Pikes Peak Writers Conference, Write Brains, Open Critique, and Writer’s Night, attendees must be age 16 or older. Anyone under 18 years of age must have a parent sign a waiver in the presence of a Pikes Peak Writers volunteer to allow their minor attendance.

And you should be excited that Daniel Kraus will be signing copies of The Death and Life of Zebulon Finch, Volume One: At the Edge of Empire at Table 1 in the autographing area on Friday, 5/13 (what a perfect day for a signing of this book!) at 10:30 AM. Please give Daniel a hug for me. Meet Ashlyn Anstee at Once Upon a Time (Los Angeles, CA) Celebrate Independent Bookstore Day with Ashlyn and Gnome (and probably Yeti).There will be FREE wildflower seeds, activity booklets, photos, maybe a song or two? April is Springtime, and Earth Day is around the same time, so bring your green thumbs and garden overalls, and Ashlyn will sign and draw in any book you like! EVEN if I didn't write it! Meet Tommy Wallach at Children's Book World (Haverford, PA) Tommy and friends (Andrea Cremer, A. R. Kahler, David Levithan, and Goldy Moldavsky) will be your entertainment for the night as they talk about their newest novels and their craft. Meet Tommy Wallach at Politics & Prose (Washington, DC) Tommy's doing a group event with some people you might have heard of: Andrea Cremer, A. R. Kahler, David Levithan, Goldy Moldavsky, and Jessica Spotswood. Hope you can make it! Meet Heather Petty at Anderson's Bookfair Company's Young Adult Literature Conference From Denver, Heather will be rushing off to gorgeous Lisle, Illinois to hang out with the likes of Marie Lu and James Dashner. Meet Jen Brooks at the Bar Harbor Kids Book Festival (Bar Harbor, ME) Gah, I bet this is going to be so fun pretty! Two full days of readings, activities, celebrations, workshops and panels. Saturday’s events will be open to all ages and will focus on writing, reading and illustrating. Check the schedule for exact locations. Meet A.L. Sonnichsen at SpoYo! A.L. will return to Spokane for the inaugural Spokane Youth Book Festival. Meet Ben Clanton at University Bookstore's First Annual Illustrator Day (Seattle, WA) Meet Jen Brooks at the Fall for the Book Festival (Fairfax, VA) Along with Heather Demetrios, Lori Goldstein, Kim Liggett, and Trisha Leaver, Jen will do a public panel presentation as well as some local middle school/high school writing workshops. Meet Heather Petty at the Nevada SCBWI Fall Fusion Conference (Reno, NV) I love SCBWI conferences, and this one looks great. Heather will be there to talk about a lot of things, Lock & Mori among them.

Meet Ashlyn Anstee at Kidsbooks (Vancouver, BC) It's the Canadian book launch of Are We There, Yeti? Ashlyn recently sent me some of the cool stuff she passes out at her events--you and your kids are sure to enjoy! Meet me at Books of Wonder! The glorious Books of Wonder (35 years and counting!) is hosting a picture book bonanza on Sunday, 9/27. I'll be there to read and sign copies of Simon's New Bed, alongside Jacky Davis, David Soman, and Sergio Ruzzier. Jen Brooks is one of them, and she'll be speaking about her In a World Just Right on a number of panels.
