It's time to furnish your workspace but where to start? Talk with our furniture consultant or your designer, our team has a variety of experience helping business owners and general consumers identify and locate the right product to fill their office furniture needs. For some, planning to furnish or refurnish an office space can seem daunting and there’s so much to consider. What do I need, what do I want, and how much will it take to do all of this? Buying new may seem like the best way to go, but maybe not, there are advantages to buying pre-owned office furniture. Oh, if you didn't know, we sell new and pre-owned so you have the best of both worlds, so you can focus on style and budget. We purchase from a variety of quality companies and we have the resources to purchase the finest available since we have a 30+ year reputation in the furniture industry. What we acquire is not randomly selected; our buyers scrutinize for quality, brand and condition before considering items and then, each item is individually evaluated when brought into our main warehouse in Phoenix, AZ.

The budget is almost always the first consideration for both new start up and established businesses. Companies run against the profit margin, so it’s not surprising they want to save wherever possible. Purchasing gently used or refurbished furniture can be an excellent choice when it comes to meeting the bottom line. Compare the pricing of a high quality ergonomic task chair that sells for $800.00 like a Steelcase Leap.  The same task chair when purchased at National Office Interiors and Liquidators can save you around $400.00 because it’s pre-owned (and we provide a warranty). When you spread that savings across furnishing an office or entire company, than it can really add up. Who doesn't love getting a great deal and a warranty? Office furniture can be stylish, and come in a variety of colors – black being the most popular of course for chairs and gray for cubicles. Sometimes business owners and designers worry they will have to give up unique style or their d©cor when they elect to purchase pre-owned furnishings, but that is simply not true.

Used furniture does not have to mean old and tired. Our selection is wide, we have cubicles, desks, tables, chairs, and storage in many configurations, colors and patterns. If the upholstery is not the color or material you like, there is no reason to shy away either. You can easily modify your fabric selections by having them reupholstered to your taste – we can help you with fabric selection and upholstery or you can work with your interior designer.  If you love a desk configuration, but not the color, we can have it stained – the choice is yours. We're green, so when you purchase from us you can be too! Your business's purchasing carbon footprint is reduced when you buy gently pre-owned merchandise, you’re keeping quality furnishings from being disposed of unnecessarily. It’s always beneficial to go green. There is always a wide selection of styles from modern to traditional in the pre-owned market.  You can choose from all kinds of finishes, like laminate, natural wood, plastics, and veneers.

There is an assortment of designs to choose from as well. Whether you have an eclectic style or like things very sparse with clean lines, there are selections that will fit your needs. Looking for the hottest brands and styles for a fraction of the list price? Then you'll love our most popular brands like Steelcase, Haworth, Knoll, Hon, Global and Herman Miller. We also bring in high end, artistic, quirky, and retro brands like Cabot Wrenn, Davis Wolfgang, Humanscale, Hancock and Moore, Hag, Keilhauer, Kimball, Teknion, and Brueton. We liquidate product (aka treasure) on a regular basis; we love it when we see a semi-truck pull up because that means new pre-owned items are here. Check back regularly, we always have something new to offer, but remember once it's gone we may not have the opportunity to liquidate it again, so please buy it when you see it because it could be sold out tomorrow.Thread Starter Essential gear - Best Chair? I used this for about a year.. until I broke the arm..

my fault, really good chair. Freedom Chair by Humanscale - An Independent Review The head rest is adjustable, it's more of a neck rest anyway, it' snot behind your ears unless you slouch like me. At the time I had a pretty serious back problem going on, this was the only chair that relieved the pain so I could work. I would have probably gone with something cheaper if that weren't the case. I'm using an aeron now though. The Aeron never worked for me. I sat in one for a year and always seemed to have back pain. Some people swear by that chair, I hated it. Currently, I'm using a Steelcase Think: Think | The Think works better for me than the Aeron. And it is also cheaper than the Aeron. When I was last chair shopping, I really liked the Herman Miller Embody, but it was more than I wanted to spend at the time. It may be one of my next upgrades though. Embody Chairs - Products - Herman Miller Go find some shops that carry a lot of different types of tasks chairs.

With some chairs, you'll be able to tell right away if the chair might work for you. After that, it will take a couple weeks of sitting in one before you know if it is right. What everyone else is saying; 'try before you buy (or return)'. Everyone has their own posture and 'ergo issues' so find what works for you (if you can). I'm in the process of looking for one of the big yoga balls to improve my posture in the edit suite and help keep me awake, hahaha. I have an 'aeron-type' that is all mesh right now, which I like but I've really found that armrest adjustment in various ways is ultra-important. Think about how motionless you really are during the day. The key is to stretch, take breaks, blink, walk... you know the drill. I would LOVE to be able to have one of the fully adjustable DESK workstations because sitting down all day, literally, is killing us. Just turned 40 and starting to realize things aren't what they used to feel like anymore so best to address it now.

Good luck in your ergo seating solution and keep us all posted. I think this is a 'healthy' thread (pun intended); hope it keeps going. Mine broke an arm and they sent me a replacement pair for free. This was years after it was purchased. If you still have it, call them. I'm very picky about chairs. I really like the Freedom chair but it has no lumbar support. The armrests aren't independently adjustable and are at a fixed width. The armrests are my favorite thing about the Aeron - I change the angle throughout the day, depending on my task. I also like Steelcase chairs. You really have to try them out for yourself, everyone has their own needs. If I could get the build of a Steelcase with the arms of an Aeron and the seat from the Freedom, I'd be set The Leap chair from Steelcase Steelcase Leap Chair - Buy Direct from Manufacturer |

Steelcase Store We use them in our video studio and office. The Human Scale chair Freedom Task Chair with Headrest | Ergonomic Seating from Humanscale (I've had mine for years) The Body Built Chair for those of us that are "over sized" either in height or girth Big and Tall Desk Chairs, Big and Tall Ergonomic Office Chairs We have four of these in our mastering studio. I love them and so do our clients. Except for the Leap chairs these were all bought used from different suppliers at a very reduced price. Best of luck and do "try before you buy" as chairs are as individual as the people sitting in them...good words of advice from my friendly office supply salesman. I recently recommended this: Artichair The best chair I've ever had – and to find this one took me about 40 tests with other (expensive and well-regarded) chairs! It's like comparing an M49 to a U87 I might say... Anyone tried the new Herman Miller Aeron Remastered yet? Or have other recommendations for small/light body types?

Have cash for a chair and I'm tired of sitting on a $15 Costco folding chair or piano bench ! omg look at these Ergonomic Chairs and Stools | I've been using a Varier Move stool for a few years after being introduced to it in a studio I worked in many moons ago. At the time it felt uncomfortable as I think my posture wasn't great and at the time I needed to slouch in something.... cue many years of back pain.... However about 5 years ago I got one for my studio and now swear by it. It has changed my posture incredibly. Back pain and problems have pretty much disappeared. I have had an Aeron for a long time but only use it for a couple of hours a day, as I find the Move stool the most comfortable and helps keep me in a good posture. The ergonomic shop people said to use it for about 5 hours a day, however I find myself on it most of the day as it just feels right. It's also great for a studio where you need to reach around for things quite a bit. They ain't cheap but it's been worth every penny Move_Black_STE999-Black_lacquered_Ash / Variations Move / Move™ / Movement Chairs / Home - Varier Furniture - Movement chairs

This one PhantomFocus seems to be getting a lot of positive reviews. I'm using an aeron now though. Been using this chair for around 6 months now, prefer it over the Aeron. Great design on the arms, as they swivel/tilt down and go down level with the seat in one easy action... Allows you to play guitar etc. Also i like that you just push back and the chair adjusts to your position. I can see that you may need to place your hands at the back of the arms and not the front, to take ones weight when re-sitting or just getting comfortable. Placing your hands at the front of the arms, is like extending the fulcrum and increases the pressure. Depends on your strength and weight i suppose. I've used Aeron chairs for years but I always found them to be uncomfortable for really long sessions. Something about the seat depth and the hard plastic edge where your legs fall over the front. My current Aeron was getting long in the tooth so I embarked on finding a replacement. I tested pretty much every fancy task chair on the market: Freedom, Leap, Think, Gesture, newer Aeron's, etc...

Then I found this: https://www.autonomous.ai/office-chair It has a combination of features from a bunch of the above mentioned chairs but most importantly for me it has highly adjustable arm rests and a seat pan depth adjustment. It's def. more comfortable and adjustable then any Aeron I've owned. The build quality is very good but a step down from something like a Steelecase product (more plastic parts vs metal). at $249-$299 with a free 30 day in home trial it's a no brainer. I also came across this in my travels: PhantomFocus I never got a chance to demo it but it looks promising. /Ergohuman-Swi.../dp/B002LK1YNO Raynor Ergohuman Chair /Ergohuman-Swi.../dp/B002LK1YNO Raynor Ergohuman Chair Those are very comfortable chairs. They're not cheap, but when you consider how many hours you spend in it, it's worth it. Originally Posted by Macky I used that chair for years in my studio.
