Rooms are numbered 1 through 5 and “The Suite.” Room #1 is located on the main floor and and the other guest rooms are on the second floor.Each room has its own private and unique bathroom with a subway tiled tub/shower alcove, a window for natural light and fresh air, plenty of towels, shampoo, blow dryers. For your room comfort, we have smooth cotton sheets and pillowcases, cotton duvets over goose down comforters from The Company Store, or poly fill comforters for our twin duvets. We often dress the bed Scandinavian style, meaning no top sheet. The duvet is your sheet and is washed after every guest stay. Sometimes we go all Scandinavian and you get your own duvet and comforter – no sharing! You also will find extra pillows and a blanket or throw in the room. The mattresses are made by King Koil and are medium firm. We have covered them in bedbug covers overlaid by a soft mattress pad. Each room has a comfortable chair and Smart TV, along with WiFi and individual room passwords.




There are luggage racks for your suitcases, along with a closet with shelf in the entryway.The rooms are light and bright. Best of all are the windows. They are large, double-hung windows that open for fresh air or so you can hear the comforting sounds of Lake Superior. Individual room thermostats allow you to set your own temperature, no matter the season or forecast. This is perfect for a vacation in the City of Marquette that is on the bike path and across from the park and sandy shore of Lake Superior. You will enjoy a sunny, bright 950 square foot apartment tucked above the garage. This is a private space to come and go from at your leisure. We call the Cottage self-catering, because it is equipped to cook your own breakfasts and meals. Dining at the Inn will be an additional charge. There is a large, open kitchen, living room, and dining area with a daybed sleeping alcove.




The separate bedroom has a king size bed, Whirlpool stacked washer/dryer unit, and a stylish, full bath. A busy marina with charter fishing a fish cleaning station and Yacht club for sailing are located at the Lower Harbor.  Presque Isle park, also called the upper harbor is a geological gem with forests for hiking, a break wall where you can witness the strength of Lake Superior, biking, walking on the one way road, cross country skiing , snowshoeing, spectacular sunsets, concerts at the band shell, ice cream, surfing,  and the Black Rocks. Have you ever cliff jumped? It is very cool to be at Presque Isle and watch the ships come in to the ore dock for a pickup of iron ore and to unload coal.  Grab a pasty dinner and watch the ships do what they do. Marquette is home to Northern Michigan University with the Superior Dome, a US Olympic training site for Greco-Roman wrestling and weightlifting, the Berry Events Center for Division 1 College Hockey and NMU sporting events, Forest Roberts theatre and all the great academic programs NMU offers. We are located within walking distance to Lakeview Arena, Picnic Rocks, Mc Carty’s Cove beach, Third street shops and restaurants, UP Health System-Marquette, and  we are a short drive to Marquette Mountain Ski Hill, Sugar Loaf Mountain,  Mountain bike trails, cross country ski trails, ATV and off roading trails.

When we arrived after long trip, the innkeeper announced that she had only booked one bedroom. The second was for a neighbor traveling with us to attend a mutual friend´s wedding. The innkeeper offer totally unacceptable solutions, like the neighbor sleeping with us! After much discussion, innkeeper...
