Concentrated or Ready to Use: Does the bedbug & flea fogger kill bed bug eggs & larvae? Nope... it is a waste of money! Once the fog dispates, do surfaces need to be wiped down? How about the mattress or box spring? Can you just put the sheets on and be fine? Ralf, it's not necessary to wipe down surfaces in the treated area. You only need to air out as directed on the label. Do we have to disconnect the smoke detecters as well? I don't...battery powered stuff doesn't have enough power to spark. They are giving these precautions as the foggers fill your house with a potentially flammable mixture with air though it's my opinion that the probability of reaching the lower flammable limit is low unless you do something really dumb, like placing a fogger right next to a furnace that has a pilot light with the door open .
For myself, I don't go so far as killing the main breaker. I do shut down the central air & heat and any fans; you don't want that moving the fog around. Is this cat safe, and how long does it take? I'm no expert by any means. We kept our cats out of the house during the specified time. When we were allowed to return, we let them back in the house. There were no adverse affects.
