He then told me that there was a free shuttle service if I wanted that. I said no we would like a taxi. He then passed me to the next guy in line who really didn't want to take us to the hotel either. When he dropped us off I asked why the other driver didn't want to take us ? Was it because the hotel wasn't that far so he didn't think he would make much money? He smiled and said its ok ma'am. Not only was the driver rude but also unsafe as a driver. Took 3 calls while driving and then missed exit. Later I found out that he took the longest route to my destination at the cost of $ 96.09. I used this taxi service last night after the bar and dropped my $500 phone in the back. I called the cab service not even 2 minutes after he left. The phone got stolen. Dispatch "couldn't get a hold of the driver"... Then when they called back half an hour later, all they had to say was, "The driver looked he didn't have it." Even though nobody from the company other than the driver looked. Then when we called again to ask for them to look again, our number was blocked and we couldn't get through. We had to ask someone else to call for us. At the end of the night the "driver nor the cab had the phone". ShareFlag11/24/2014dangerous driversI have not used these idiots,but instead was ran off of the road buy one. To be more specific the driver in the van number 4752. he came around me in traffic and literally if I hadnt swerved he would have clipped the front of my truck. I blew my horn at him and all I saw was the finger and he took off again. It took me over five miles to catch up with him and the only reason I did is because he got caught up In a cluster of traffic. I call the company to report him and all I got was an answering machine. I so wish I could have gotten him to stop. I have never seen such driving other than on the news in a high speed chase. This guy needs to be taken off the streets. The driver that took me to the JAX Airport was on the phone, texting and sending photos while driving and kept looking down on his phone while going extremely fast.
He was also replying to his text messages while he drove. I was terrified and didn't give him any tip and I'll continue to post this review everywhere I see their company name. With the many deaths related to driving and texting this should never be allowed and companies should make sure their drivers are more responsible.ShareFlag06/06/2012Provided by Citysearch - THEY ARE THIEVES!!! Arrived inTHEY ARE THIEVES!!! Arrived in Jacksonville, shuttle from airport to airport area hotel. Realized I forgotten some needed items and wanted a bottle of wine for later; so I called their service. The 1st driver WAS honest, talkative and informative. Round trip including 2 stops and waiting at Walgreen's $12. Okay, day two and I need some aspirin so I call them again. This driver wasn't friendly. As we are driving down the same road as yesterday I'm noticing the meter is DOUBLE almost every block. The rate was 2. I'm like WTF but didn't rock the boat. Round trip 1 stop with shorter waiting time $17.
Final day I need to make it to the bus station because I'm not flying out. Bus station is 12 miles from the airport. Called for a quote was told $1.75 to enter and $2.00 a mile. I ended up paying $38!!! Again rate was set to 2. Arrive in Raleigh and hailed a cab. Asked the driver was the rate 1 meant; he said 1 passenger. So, they (Gator Taxi) charged me double. Flag02/17/2012Provided by Citysearch - I got 3 good drivers....I had to make 3 different trips in the same day. The first driver was nice, courteous and his car was clean. The ride didn't cost as much as I thought it would either. The 2nd driver picked me up from the grocery store. It was a really nice Asian gentleman. He helped me with the groceries and he was extremely nice and courteous. I think they sent the large shuttle cab since they knew I was at the grocery store, which is also very thoughtful. Then, I received a call where I had to get to my destination immediately. I did not have time to wait on the bus to get me there.
So, I called Gator City a 3rd time. The 3rd driver was nice, he mapped the best route for me so I wouldn't have to pay so much, although this last trip was a little pricey. None of the drivers tried to run the meter up on me. Overall I appreciated the service all 3 times. I was able to get things done quickly. All 3 drivers were here within 10 mins. I don't know if it was just a good day for me or if people only write reviews when they want to vent and if there is good service no one bothers to write a review. But I believe that if you want good service it's nice to praise people when they do well so they can keep doing it.Flag02/11/2012when i arrived from out of tow...when i arrived from out of town. i called them.they told they would send a cab in 15 mins..so i waited 20mins.no cab a cab came but it wasn't mine.i called again , and was told 3 to 4 mins more.the lady i talk to said they tell all caller 15 mins. even though it not true .when i arrive there was 6 people waiting for a cabs.35 mins later still no cab.me and my child were alone at a closed station.in the dark.a bum pop up out of no where.help!!
