You are here: Home / Beauty tips / DIY HAIR GROWTH SERUM: HOW TO GROW YOUR EYELASHES AND EYEBROWS? How to make your eyelashes and eyebrows grow? Every lady wants to have perfect eyebrows and long eyelashes. Today, let’s look at wonderful homemade recipe of how you can create DIY hair growth serum at the comfort of your own home. This very effective hair growth serum is made of only natural ingredients and won’t affect your hormonal balance in any way, unlike many other pricey, packed with chemicals hair growth serums and products on the market (some of them might even change the color of your eyes…we don’t want it, right?). A little bit of history… I’ve been wearing eyelashes extensions for over two years, and after taking them off, my eyelashes were greatly damaged: they were very short and were almost invisible; at first, I was really scared, because I thought that my eyelashes would never grow back again. After using this natural hair growth serum on a regular basis for couple of months, my eyelashes not only grew back, but also, became a lot thicker and longer, so that I started getting “eyelashes compliments” all the time.

And now, without further ado, let’s discover this wonderful natural hair growth serum recipe: – A small empty container (to store your hair growth serum) – A clean mascara wand or just a Q-tip (to apply your serum) – Sweet almond oil – Avocado oil (optional) – Vitamin E (optional) Castor oil is rich in Omega 6, packed with vitamins, nutrients and proteins. This oil was even used by Egyptians to fight baldness! Coconut oil has been known for it’s ability to care for skin, hair and nails for centuries. Rich in vitamins and nutrients, coconut oil can breath a new life into your eyebrows and eyelashes (you can also use this oil to nourish your hair and skin). Sweet almond oil can not only be an amazing skin moisturizer, but also it can be applied on your eyelashes and eyebrows to make them grow faster, nourish and prevent them from falling out. Rich in vitamins, monosaturated fats, calcium and magnesium, sweet almond oil is a fantastic natural beauty ingredient.

Avocado oil and liquid Vitamin E are optional ingredients; they can be added into your hair growth serum for an extra boost. (Vitamin E is often sold in pharmacies.) How to make DIY hair growth serum? Pour equal parts of castor oil, coconut oil and sweet almond oil into a small, clean container (2 table spoons of each oil will do). Optional: add a little bit of avocado oil (1 tea spoon) and one vitamin E capsule into this mixture. Shake the container to mix well all the ingredients. Dip a clean Q-tip or a clean mascara wand into your serum and gently apply it on your eyebrows and eyelashes. Apply this hair growth serum every night before going to sleep. In a couple of weeks time you should see amazing results: stronger, longer and healthier eyelashes and thicker eyebrows. Make sure you aren’t allergic to the ingredients of this serum. If you can’t find these oils in your local health food store, you can always get them online. Have you ever tried DIY hair growth serums for yourself? I

It’s an ingredients black list that we don’t allow into the products—no parabens, no sulfates. Being a mom, I have become really invested in that—I just feel like once I know something, I can’t go backwards and pretend like I don’t know it. My friend Sarah sends me lists sometimes, she just sent me one recently with 15 dangerous ingredients, which I forwarded to everyone involved in Kardashian Beauty to make sure that none of the ingredients were in our products. It’s hard to do at a mass level, selling with CVS, Ulta, and other stores, but for me, that’s the most important thing. When I do my own makeup, I always start with Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer.

Then, under my eyes I use Make Up For Ever High Definition Concealer and Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage to cover any spots. I've caught Scott stealing my tinted moisturizer and concealer in the past, too. After, I put on our Endless Summer Matte Bronzer. It’s this big and it comes with three shades, so I use the darkest shade to do a quick contour on my nose and cheekbones—contouring and highlighting are the best things I’ve learned from getting my makeup done on set. I never really knew they existed before someone did it to me, but now I have to contour. Sometimes, instead of blush, I’ll just wear bronzer. And I always set my makeup with an organic rosewater spray. I just have to; it’s crazy, but I don’t feel finished without it. For my eyes, my day-to-day just involves curling my lashes to open up my eyes, and applying our mascara, The Quickie. If I’m getting my makeup done, I like to get individual lash extensions or a strip of false lashes, depending on how glam I want to get.

I learned how to apply liquid liner when I was in, like, 8th grade—my mom taught me. So I’ve kind of got that mastered. There’s no real trick to it; it’s all about the applicator. Our Film Noir Drama Liner is good because the pencil applicator makes it easy to draw on. I think my favorite look is black liner with a neutral lip—classic and simple. I prefer a really natural look on Kim, too. Even when she has no makeup on, she looks so pretty. For myself, I want to focus on the eyes instead of the lip for a while. So my most embarrassing recent beauty blunder involved my lips—I had my makeup done for something, and they'd lined the outside of my entire mouth with a shiny red lipstick. I don’t know why I didn’t look in the mirror, but I went out with my entire family, and so many friends, after the shoot, and not one person cared to let me know that the liner was sitting a quarter-inch outside of my actual mouth. My lips were double the size. When I got home and saw myself, I was like, ‘You’ve got to be kidding.’

I took a picture and showed everyone the next day and said, ‘How dare none of you tell me that this is what I looked like the entire night?!’ That being said, I’ve been wearing lipstick since I was in 7th grade. That was our form of daring self-expression, because we had to wear uniforms in school. It made our teachers so angry. Now that I have a daughter, I’ve been thinking about how I'll define beauty to her. I watched a video of Kendall when she was three, and she was putting on makeup. I don’t know how I feel about that. But my daughter already watches me do it. When do you let them start wearing it? I don’t know yet. I’ve been applying makeup long enough to feel good doing it on my own, but I cannot do my hair to save my life. When left to my own devices, if I have to go to an event, I do a slicked bun. Otherwise, I just try to wear a hat, put it in a ponytail, or do a side braid—something easy. I have no clue how to do it; it’s really becoming a problem.

It always turns into a stringy hot mess. Scott, on the other hand, is great with his hair. He’s never without his hairspray, even when we travel. The one product I hoard more than anything else is Mama Mio Boob Tube. It’s a cream that you’re supposed to apply from your neck to just below your boobs. It has all good ingredients, and it promises to firm and tighten a little. I’m obsessed with it because I’m starting to feel the aging signs lately, so it’s my new thing. I apply it from my neck down to my toes. I’ll take it all the way down. It’s got to be good for my legs and everything else! I just started getting into a more consistent skincare routine, too. Paying attention to skin started early for me—I’ve been using eye cream since middle school. Kim and I would put vitamin E oil on our eyes. We thought it would make our eyelashes grow. We already had long eyelashes, so I don’t even know what we were after, but people used to always ask us about our lashes, and we’d be like, ‘It’s the vitamin E oil.’
