Major Recall of Liquid Drugs, Supplements Due to Potential Bacterial Contamination PharmaTech announced a voluntary recall of all liquid products due to a potential risk of contamination with Burkholderia cepacia. If a product contaminated with B. cepacia is administered, infections can develop in patients with compromised immune systems and in patients with chronic lung conditions (eg, cystic fibrosis). Some of these infections may be serious and/or life-threatening in patient populations that are at risk. The recall impacts all liquid products from October 20, 2015 through July 15, 2016.
