Unfortunately, his 2017 season ended before it began, with season-ending surgery for the second straight season. While he won’t be competing in Aspen, he’ll be in town with Oakley giving some insights on the event. Join us in Aspen on Monday evening for a chat about innovation and ski racing with World Cup Finals competitors Lindsey Vonn, Mikaela Shiffrin, Aksel Lund Svindal, Henrik Kristoffersen and Erik Guay! It’s safe to say Mikaela Shiffrin has lived up to the hype.

She’s the present, she’s the future. After a breakout performance in Sochi (youngest slalom gold medalist in Olympic history), Shiffrin is having her most successful season to date in 2017, having locked up her fourth World Cup Slalom Overall title and on the verge of her first big crystal globe for the World Cup Overall Title. She competes in Slalom, GS, Super-G and Combined. Though he lacks in creative nicknames – “Dusty” and “Cookie” – Dustin Cook is a beast when it comes to laying on the accelerator. After a strong 2015 season in which the Canadian took his first World Cup win and a runner-up finish at the World Championships (the first Canadian male racer to medal in Super-G at World Champs, and final member of the “Canadian Cowboys"), Cook had to watch from the sidelines in 2016 with an injury. We’ll see if he can end 2017 on a high note competing in Super-G and Giant Slalom. From coffee shop hangouts to hard-charging in the streets, #OakleyCrossrange is the perfect balance of fashion and function for Chas Christiansen.

Learn more about #OakleyCrossrange at http://oak.ly/2naEdK3 In February, Erik Guay shocked the skiing world just a week after a horrific crash, winning the Super-G World Championship in Switzerland, becoming the oldest world champion in the sport’s history. The most decorated Canadian alpine World Cup racer of all time, Guay will be aiming to end his season on a high note in Downhill and Super-G in Aspen. Racing runs in the family. With two sisters who compete at the international level, you can only image what Nina Loseths' family days on the mountain may be like. Following up her best season on the World Cup circuit, 2017 has proved to be another strong showing for the Norwegian, with three podiums and currently sitting 5th in the Slalom Overall rankings. Nina competes in Slalom and Giant Slalom. Aleksander Aamodt Kilde | Called "the best trained skier I have ever seen" by teammate Aksel Lund Svindal and with a middle name inspired by ski racing royalty (Aamodt), early indications are that Aleksander may become one of the dominant speed racers of his generation.

Known as one of the #AttackingVikings, Aleksander competes in the Downhill, Super-G, and Giant Slalom events. Alpine Skiing runs in Tina's blood – both her parents and her uncle were World Cup ski racers. To date, Tina has had six World Cup victories and 30 podiums across Downhill, Super-G, Giant Slalom, and Combined. Known as “Wild Child” when he was growing up, Henrik has gone on to become the youngest male medalist in Olympic alpine skiing history. Though only 22, he’s established himself amongst the greats, equaling a record held by the legendary Alberto Tomba (six slalom race wins in a single season). Henrik competes in the technical events, Slalom and Giant Slalom. Over the next 10 days we'll be counting down to the beginning of the Audi FIS Alpine World Cup Tour Finals by featuring the athletes who will be representing #TeamOakley in Aspen.
