This program is ongoing throughout the year and assignments are generally 3 – 6 months for both our Footwear, Apparel, and Marketing teams. During this ten week program, Interns have the opportunity to manage a detailed business case project from start to finish. Interns will be conducting their own due diligence and formulating their recommendations to present to our leadership team—an opportunity most professionals have only well into their careers. From resume building workshops to presentation skills training, our comprehensive program is designed to set you up for success even after the internship has concluded. We understand that an internship is an investment, and we want our Interns to gain relevant experience while still having a fun and exciting Summer. It is also located along P. Lopez Street and Osmena Boulevard, a major thoroughfare. Despite being in the toughest retail arena in the nation at the time, Metro Colon developed a huge following among Cebuanos. Consequently, what started as a three-level building was upgraded to a seven level department store and supermarket after only two years in operation. Built to be a combination super center and department store, Super Metro Mandaue started its operations in 1994 in Mandaue City, considered as the industrial city of the province of Cebu. Super Metro is the biggest department store and supermarket in the city today.
It has easily become the destination of choice by shoppers from Mandaue and from other cities and municipalities in Northern Cebu. When Ayala Land Inc. developed a commercial business district in Cebu City, they chose Metro to be their partner. Rising to the challenge to team up with an established and reputable Manila-based mall operator, Metro built its third store in 1994. It was to be the Metro’s biggest and best outlet yet, designed to cater to the growing upscale market in Cebu that demanded first-rate services and comfort, and at the same time expected the same trademark quality and competitive prices of any Metro store. Today, Metro Ayala Center Cebu enjoys the confidence and patronage of discriminating shoppers of Cebu, as can be observed by its usually heavy customer traffic. In 2001, Metro teamed up with Landco Pacific Corp. to form the Pacific Mall Corporation. The joint venture company proceeded to build and operate the Pacific Mall Legazpi in 2001, the first and largest shopping mall in the Bicol region, and the Pacific Mall Lucena in 2003, a shopping, dining, and entertainment destination in Quezon Province.
The company’s fourth and fifth stores are anchor department stores and supermarkets to the Pacific Malls. When Ayala Land Inc. started the development of its newest shopping center located at Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City, they integrated the concept of a hawker’s haven, mall and outdoor wet market to make it a catch-all destination. Owing the success of Metro Ayala Center Cebu, Ayala Land Inc. again invited Metro to build its sixth and biggest store to date, to become the anchor department store and supermarket to its newest mall. Department Store and Supermarket has steadily gained acceptance by the high-end clientele in the neighboring plush subdivisions of Makati City, the diplomatic communities and the middle income shoppers from surrounding neighborhoods in Fort Bonifacio and Taguig City. In late September 2009, Ayala Land Inc. opened MarQuee Mall in Angeles City, Pampanga, its first mall in Central Luzon, also anchored by Metro Supermarket and Department Store.

In December 2009, Metro Gaisano open its 8th store and the fourth store in Cebu, anchored by Metro Supermarket and Department Store. In late September 2011, Metro Gaisano open the fifth store in Cebu, and the first Market type of store.
