Scotia Double Glazing manufacture and install high quality uPVC doors in the Ayrshire, Glasgow and West Central Scotland areas. Each residential door, including double and French doors, fabricated in Scotia’s 24,000 square feet factory is made from PVC-u extruded profile which is a purpose built extrusion designed to provide excellent thermal and noise insulation, security and to withstand the extremes of our Scottish climate. Many cheaper products use window profile for doors, which for the first few years may not prove to be a problem, but as time goes by and the product has to prove its fitness for the job, unfortunately many fail. High Quality uPVC Doors At Scotia we are proud of the fact that our PVC-u doors and double doors (storm doors) have been approved by British Standards and have attained BS 7412 /PAS 23/24KM 590966 Kitemark for security and performance of our doors. We only manufacture doors using purpose built door extrusion and in order to ensure strength and rigidity the outer frame and the door leaf are reinforced with steel and aluminium.
This steel reinforcement is then used as a fixing for our high security hinges and locking system which incorporates an impressive eight point “Yale” lock.
