Hexaware Technologies has launched the Agentic AI Academy in partnership with upGrad Enterprise to train its global workforce in the next phase of AI: agentic systems. These are autonomous, intelligent software agents that can plan, act and adapt in real time.
The initiative follows Hexaware’s earlier efforts in generative AI training, where 95% of employees were trained in AI fundamentals. With the academy, the company is now focusing on deeper, specialised skills to prepare teams for a future where humans and AI agents work side by side.
“Agentic technologies are becoming fundamental to how enterprises operate,” Vinod Chandran, COO at Hexaware, said. “Agentic Academy ensures our people are equipped not only to use these systems but to lead engagements built around them.”
The academy offers three role-based learning tracks designed to match different responsibilities. Builder.AI focuses on developers and engineers who create AI agents from the ground up, with an emphasis on safety and orchestration.
Collaborator.AI is tailored for teams that adapt and customise open-source or platform-based agents for client projects.
Finally, Manage.AI equips managers to oversee how humans and AI agents work together, including quality checks and real-time monitoring.
All learning paths combine content, labs and certifications, delivered through upGrad’s platform within the flow of work.
“We’re moving from automation to intelligent orchestration, where agents collaborate, decide and deliver outcomes. This shift is redefining roles and creating demand for agentic expertise. Our goal is to equip talent to lead real-world agentic assignments with confidence and capability,” Satyajith Mundakkal, CTO at Hexaware, said.
Early participants are already applying their training in live projects, with more learning tracks in progress.
“As agentic systems reshape enterprise operations, the real differentiator will be how quickly organisations can translate that shift into customer impact,” said Srikanth Iyengar, CEO of upGrad Enterprise.
