I specifically did not want a mattress that was too firm. So I opted for the pillowtop and it has just the right balance of firm deep down for the support your body needs from the memory foam yet the top layers just envelope you in super soft luxury. This mattress is pretty thick for a full and in combination with the box spring it sits up nice and high which I like. If you're a side sleeper, this might be what you need. I can lie on my side without feeling achey in my hips or shoulders. I can feel the mattress conforming to contours without putting pressure against me, but rather letting me make my imprint and feel comfortable all night long. I am very impressed. The setup was great the guys even fix my frame and put my bedskirt on for me.I rate this a 10 thanks Best night sleep I've had in years! I was worried the plush mattress would actually be too soft, but for us, it's just right. Yesterday my mattress set was delivered. It was packaged well and set up for me. The old mattress set was removed just as advertised. My first nights sleep was great! I am so glad I made this purchase. Best purchase I ever made, love this mattress!! I have been sleeping on this mattress now for 3 months. At first it felt sooo amazing, compared to my old mattress. By the end of the first month I felt like this must be what sinking in quicksand feels like. I couldn't even turn in bed without putting effort into it ( I'm not a heavy person 130 pounds). And forget about trying to get out of the bed. I have to hold onto the edge and pull myself up and out !!!! Uuuggghhh hate to say it but my old mattress gave me a better nights sleep. So today I just couldn't take it anymore and I flipped the mattress over onto the other side .
It felt sooo much better and firmer.
