Using new membrane technology our system uses only materials that have been developed and rigorously tested to international standards. TimberTec meets or exceeds the most demanding environmental conditions. Using high quality base wood grain powder coatings the finish is tough, durable and exhibits no ware off as the colours and patterns become part of the products coating. How is it done?TimberTec is a photo imaging process that involves a physical reaction between special inks and the base coating. Under controlled conditions of Heat and Pressure photographic images are fused directly into the special base coating. The inks penetrate the full depth of the coating which creates a natural long lasting timber finish effect. This process is not an overlay or laminate it becomes part of the paint coating so will not peel or flake over time.

The appeal of cedar wood for house construction lies in its uniquely high impermeability to liquids and its large degree of thermal insulation, making it a perfect choice for all exterior applications such as roofing and walls. If properly maintained, a cedar roof will outlast an asphalt roof many times over, making it not only a highly attractive and practical wood but a major aspect in the value of the building. Cedar is a soft wood and although it carries a strong resistance to humidity, UV light and heat, it does require treatment and maintenance to prevent deterioration such as warping, rotting, mould, mildew and discolouration.

CDR understands that your house is one of the biggest investments you will make in your lifetime and will work towards increasing the value of your dwelling by restoring the natural warmth and beauty of the timber and then protecting it with an appropriate finish. Cedar treatment and maintenance like cedar cladding, roof painting, exterior house washing and cleaning are the tasks which requires professional hands for perfect results. Only knowledgeable professionals can provide your old cedar home its aesthetic look back and make it as attractive as new. Cedar is a popular choice when it comes to decking, roofing and wood cladding walls of a house, mainly because it possesses a natural resistance to water, insect infections and decay.  It possesses properties like untreated excellent durability, stability, and volume to weight ratio. Despite all these properties, its surface also deteriorate over time when exposed to weather, just like the other timbers. As cedar ages, it loses its properties and the air-born mould, fungus, dust and dirt starts settling on the timber’s surface.

This will make the Cedar wood darken and unappealing. This is the time when you need to contact Cedar Doctor for the maintenance and restoration of your cedar home.
