Will Arnett voices the blocky Dark Knight once again for this follow-up to 2014's The LEGO Movie, now putting Batman in the spotlight. The LEGO Movie 2 is currently being penned and it will pick up four years after the first film left off. Chris Miller and Phil Lord - who directed last year's film - have discussed the sequel and hinted at what directed it will head in. Speaking to Empire, Chris revealed: "Well I don’t want to give you spoilers but we were really interested in what happens to that boy who’s in the meta story in the first movie when he’s four years older. When he’s an adolescent how does that change his point of view? "And it’s nice to have the characters start in a different place from the first movie. "Emmet, for example, was in an existential crisis of having seen another dimension and was questioning the whole point of his existence." Originally, the pair weren't going to pen the script for the second movie after being "scared" of producing a "rehash" rather than a new, valid chapter to the story.
However, the work of Chris McKay and Jared Stern gave them a great starting point and allowed them to build on it with newfound enthusiasm. Chris added: "There are some really fun new themes that we didn’t explore in the first movie and got us really excited, so that it’s its own thing. "With 22 Jump Street we did the whole making fun of yourself for just doing the same thing again. We can’t do that ever again. You can only go so far up your own rear end." Elton John has paid tribute to ex-Watford and England manager Graham Taylor. Taylor died aged 72 early this morning (January 12) of a suspected heart attack. The singer, who was chairman of the Hertfordshire club during Taylor’s time as manager, said he was “deeply saddened and shocked” by the news.
“He was like a brother to me. We shared an unbreakable bond since we first met. We went on an incredible journey together and it will stay with me forever,” John wrote in an Instagram post. He went on to recall Taylor’s success as Watford manager, writing: “He took my beloved Watford from the depths of the lower leagues to unchartered territory and into Europe. We have become a leading English club because of his managerial wisdom and genius.” “This is a sad and dark day for Watford. The club and the town. We will cherish Graham and drown our sorrows in the many brilliant memories he gave us. I love you Graham. I will miss you very much.” After managing Watford, Taylor went on to guide Aston Villa to second in the First Division and had a stint as England manager, leading the team during Euro 92 and the World Cup in 1994. I am deeply saddened and shocked to hear about Graham's passing. He was like a brother to me. We went on an incredible journey together and it will stay with me forever.
