A POST office boss was shocked to buy a table at an antiques warehouse – and discover Jesus on the cross. Simon Chorley picked up a bargain after noticing the huge watermark which appears to resemble Christ. Simon Chorley, 35, next to the table stained by rain dripping from a roof in a barn in Brompton, Shrops,. But Simon has been unable to find space for the incredible antique in his house so has decided to put it back on the market He paid £320 – after a £90 discount – for the table stained by rain dripping from a roof in a barn in Brompton, Shrops,. Simon, 35, told The Sun: “I clocked it had a strange stain and but didn’t really notice it until I sent a photo to my girlfriend and she replied ‘oh my god that’s Christ on the cross’. “You can see his beard and face as well. Simon, a postmaster from Coven, Staffs,. added: “The owners said it had been stored in an old barn and water had dropped through the roof and onto the table.

“In order to stop it dripping any further the lady put a metal bucket on the table. “It’s only when she moved the bucket I noticed. “I was going to varnish it to make it look nice but I don’t think I will now.” The bargain buy was picked up from antique firm Dealers UK, which has more than 7,000 items. But Simon has been unable to find space for the incredible antique in his house so has decided to put it back on the market. Jesus’s beard and face are clearly visible from a closer up shot of the watermark The bargain buy was picked up from antique firm Dealers UK, which has more than 7,000 items Earlier this month a tomb believed to be the place where the body of Jesus Christ was laid was opened for the first time in 500 years. A second grey marble which nobody knew existed was engraved with a cross was discovered. Meanwhile, a Christian doom-monger claimed Jesus is poised to spark a New Year’s Eve apocalypse and wipe out life on earth.

This was my second visit to the Chorley Town Cafe. Its a simple cafe, clean and good service. I had fish chips and mushy peas for £5, one local pub charges £11 for the equivalent. a good range of fast food is also offered. The coffee (£1.50) actually tasted like coffee. Called in here for lunch on a cold blustery day, love cheese and mushroom omelettes, so went for that with the greedy option of chips.

Staff very friendly and welcoming, didnt have to wait long whilst I warmed up with a cup of tea - portion was massive!! Omelette was really tasty, next time would go for just salad as... What an excellent café this is, so impressed by the cleanliness, speedy service, great staff and wonderful food and so reasonably priced. You don't need to go anywhere else!!! Waiter service in a town cafe. Nice to see tinned toms. ( was a full tin though). Old fashioned milky coffee. I stopped by here for a coffee and ended up ordering lunch as the food being served looked good. I ordered a jacket potato with cottage cheese and it was 2 times the size I expected, cooked to perfection with tasty cottage cheese and a side salad. Really reasonably priced too as with my coffee it was all less than... Called for a quick lunch whilst shopping. Very friendly staff, making a fuss of my granddaughter and helping with high chair. Food basic, large portions, exactly what you would expect from a town centre cafe.

Fairly reasonably priced although cheaper places nearby. Chorley is full of cafes and restaurants, some pretentious, some expensive, some both of these. My visit was almost accidental, I had intended to eat else ware but it was a cold, rainy and windy day and I was not enjoying myself as I walked from the bus station down Chapel Street. The bright lights of the cafe worked like... “Amazing at the price” Had a cooked breakfast and a coffee. Everything was dry, low quality and vile, I wouldn't feed it to pigs!!!!!! The coffee was way too hot, milky and also vile. Humans should not be fed this food or drink. The actual surroundings are also poor. Plastic tables and chairs with people packed in like animals. People are rushed and... Popped in for a breakfast and sat at my table , looked at the menu and choose breakfast 1 as it came with a coffee , I asked for hash brown to be added for 80p as it stated on the menu . Coffee arrived first and it was not nice just didn't taste of coffee .
