It is handsomely adorned with antique furniture and accessories and it is extremely comfortable and cozy. Even the lighting fixtures are works of art.
The living/dining area, kitchen with breakfast nook, and bedroom are all perfect for a couple. The bed is extremely comfortable. There is a small outdoor patio/deck as well. The bathroom is somewhat small (especially the sink) but the owners... Problem with this review? Review posted to wrong location “Good value for Berkeley.” Nice little studio in a lovely Berkeley hills neighborhood. Designed well for the space. Bathroom is tiny but the shower is great. Quiet area, comfortable bed. We brought our own coffeemaker as we dislike the pod type. Plenty of interesting books to browse through. Enjoyed a glimpse of the view but the summer fog hid it for most of our stay of 3 nights. Probably not the best choice for elderly people... “Beautiful home in a peaceful setting” Ted and Mica were fantastic hosts! We had a wonderful assortment of fresh fruit, coffee and wine waiting for us. The home was beautiful! Very peaceful and quiet. My favorite place was the outside private nook where I enjoyed my morning coffee.
Every evening we walked through the local Berkeley area to enjoy some of the plentiful restaurants and cafes. Can't wait to go back! “A perfect "home away from home"” We stayed at Micasa for almost 4 weeks. Our son had his first baby and we were helping on a daily basis. The set up works well for a couple plus an occasional visitor (in a comfy fold out bed.) The place has lots of sitting areas, given the size: a living room with table and window seats, big chairs by the fire, a dining area, a breakfast area and an outdoor private porch. “Perfect North Berkeley stay” This apartment is excellent. The hosts are very welcoming and conscientious and the place is beautiful - a uniquely North Berkeley experience due to its location and its style. This is not a place for those who want a modern apartment - it is an historic bungalow style place that is furnished accordingly and needs to be treated gently.
