However, we hire a security guard at $25 an hour when you start serving until the very end of your rental. Only rentals with alcohol are required to pay this fee. 7 days a week. The pavilion can be rented anytime. River Bend will not be rented for weddings during the months of November and December. River Bend will be decorated for its annual fundraiser, ElectriCritters, and the decorations may not be changed, altered, or removed for any reason. River Bend will not be rented on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. We book a year in advance. For example if you wanted May 11th, 2017, you couldn’t book that date until May 1st, 2016.




Each facility has a minimum rental time. The pavilion is 4 hours and the exhibit hall is 3 hours. You won’t have access to the facility until your rental time begins, and it has to be cleaned and vacated by the end of the scheduled rental. I would give yourself as much time as you can so you’re not rushed. If you rent for a full day (12 hours) it will save you $300, and you have the option of using one of those hours for a rehearsal (subject to availability). Full day rental pricing is not available for Sunday-Thursday because it’s already discounted. RBNC does not have a catering policy. You’re allowed to bring in whatever you would like. However, there is no on-site kitchen. RBNC rents out 6 ft, 8 ft, and round tables. We also have 150 white chairs. Our rental prices are can be found at this link: Price List. However, rental of the pavilion includes the use of 16 picnic tables, and 100 aluminum folding chairs. Rental of learning center includes the current setup of chairs and tables at the time of your rental.




You can bring in whatever you would like. If you rent tables and chairs from an outside source they can only be dropped off or delivered only during your rental time and have to be removed at the end of your rental time. We’re open 7 days a week, M-F 9-5 pm, Sat. 10-4 pm, and Sun 12-4 pm. There’s no admission when you come to look at the facility for a rental, just tell the employee in the gift shop what your there for. This permit admits the bearer only into anyA Texas resident age 65 on or after September 1, 1995 may obtain a partial Parkland Passport that allows entry into a Texas State Park at a discounted price ($3.00 for Palo Duro Canyon State park.) to you or someone else in your party, please advise the fee collector prior School sponsored educational groups will be admitted free of charge. Bus drivers, teachers and chaperons traveling on the bus or with the group for the school-sponsored educational trip are also granted waived entry after filling out the School Group Entrance Fee Waiver. Request for waiver must be made prior to arrival from Park Interpreter or Assistant Manager and will be on file at the entrance office upon arrival. College groups need to fax a letter on university stationery stating purpose of visit and specific educational activities in which they will be engaged. Letter must be signed by department head.




Arrangements for educational programs must be made in advance with the park interpreter. Any facility or overnight fees are in addition to the daily entrance fee.There is no additional fee for the park's Day-Use facilities and no reservation is required for those areas. Palo Duro Canyon State Park has five classifications of overnight sites: Back-pack camping is permitted only in the area south of the turn-around. You must hike into the area for at least 30 minutes. Water is only available at the trailhead. Fires are not permitted, although stoves with containerized fuel are permitted. You must carry out all that you carry in. Pets are permitted but must be kept on leashFEE: $ 12.00 per 4 persons. You may camp with your horses in our Equestrian Camping Area. Proof must be provided of Coggins Test within the past 12 months. There is a corral just south of the turn-around with established sites near it with a table, fire-ring, and water. You must ride in designated areas only.




(A total of 8 horses/people constitute a site.) Restrooms/showers are available within approximately 1/3 of a mile. Horses may not be ridden to the restrooms/showers. FEE: $ 12.00 per site. There are two camping areas that have been designated "primitive". (Cactus and Fortress Cliff) The areas have designated camping sites. Each has a table, a shade shelter, fire-ring and water available in the area. They have no restroom or shower facilities. You may drive (1/2 to 2 miles) to an adjacent camp loop for restroom/shower facilities. A maximum of 8 people are permitted in each site. (Mesquite and Sagebrush camp loops, 50 amp service.) Each site has a table (some with shade shelters), firering, paved parking area, water, and electricity. There is a restroom with showers in the camping loop. A maximum of 8 people are permitted in each site. There is a maximum of THREE vehicular units permitted per site. (A vehicular unit is one car, one trailer, one motor home, etc.) FEE: $24.00 per site includes up to 2 vehicular units.
