What are the different types of mattress available? Mattresses are finished in three ways: panel quilted, micro quilted and tufted. In a panel and micro quilted mattress the fillings are secured on each side. Additionally with micro quilting the advanced stitching techniques used enhance the design of the fabrics. Tufted mattresses are pierced through and buttoned. These `tufts` hold all the layers of padding together and tie them in to the spring unit. What storage options are available? Most department stores, bed and linen specialists now cater for the larger bed sizes, king and super king in addition to extra depth mattresses.A duvet cover is surprise... a cover for a duvet! It goes on in a way that is similar to a pillow cover over a pillow. When removed, the duvet cover can be washed like a sheet. The care depends on the fabric. In general, it's a good idea to select a fabric that can be easily washed. Removing and washing the duvet should be easier than washing a bulky comforter.
