It was founded in 1931 by 13 mattress manufacturers who licensed the Serta name; subsequently eight independent licensees acting like a cooperative owned the company. Afterwards, it was controlled and operated as Serta International by its largest licensee, National Bedding Company, (which ultimately held 27 of the 34 U.S. Serta manufacturing licenses).[1] In 2005, two private equity groups teamed up to purchase National Bedding Co.--The Ares Corporate Opportunities Fund, the Los Angeles-based private equity fund of Ares Management; and Teachers’ Private Capital, the private equity arm of the Ontario (Canada) Teachers’ Pension Plan.[2] The American company Serta International is a subsidiary of the American company Serta Simmons Holdings LLC. Serta is the largest mattress brand in the United States, and offers four main types of mattresses - traditional inner spring, gel-infused memory foam, hybrid mattresses which combine both, and the Salt Lake City plant exclusively produces a Talalay Latex collection.

I told her that this message board is full of wonderful insight and that I am sure someone will have the answer for her. From what I have seen most hotels have deals... They talk with Simmons or Sealy or whom ever and say we need 3000 king size mattresses. So they do a normal run of nice soft mattresses but put whatever name of the hotel they want on the bed.... The Bellagio Special for instance.. I fell in love with the Mattress at the Marriott at the falls... Looked around and everyone has the same mattress made for there store/hotel with a different name on it... Like the Brick has the Sealy 2001 Sleep comfort.. and Leons has the Sealy 2002 Sleep comfort. Different model numbers so you cant price shop but the same damn bed. I purchased a Super plush Pillow top mattress with coil springs... That is most likely what you want. Its like sleeping on a marshmallow.... damn hard to get out of bed tho! I wasn't very impressed with the mattress during my stay at the Bellagio.
I bought the heavenly bed that all Westin Hotels use. Most comfortable mattress ever. I didn't think the mattresses were that comfy. I like the ones at Wynn & Paris a whole better. Bellagio features numerous levels of customized Sealy mattresses. If you're interested in purchasing one, you can contact the Concierge at Bellagio directly and they should be able to either point you in the direction to buy one or give you a model number where you can purcahse one straight from Sealy. Does Paris have new mattresses? I can say that they old ones were nothing to write home about, plus get short sheeted at Paris often. One destination mentioned in this post My DH and I love the Bellagio mattresses, also! We will be sleeping on one in 24 days. Call the Concierge at Bellagio and they will be able to tell you what they are. For the price of our room at the B, that mattress better be PD comfy! Just a FYI - we just purchased a queen mattress made for the Bellagio by SERTA.
It is absolutely wonderful!!! You can call the Bellagio direct and they will take your order. Takes about 4 weeks, as they are custom made per order, not just sitting around in the warehouse.
