Denbighs Restaurant is situated on the main corridor opposite X-Ray and near Outpatients reception area. It sells a selection of hot and cold meals that can be either eaten in the restaurant dining area or taken-away. Monday to Thursday 8.15am - 7.30pm Friday 8.15am - 7.00pm Saturday and Sunday 9.00am - 4.45pm Bank Holidays - Closed Breakfast available 8.15am-10.30am (not weekends) When the main restaurant is closed, hot drinks can be bought from the vending machine in Outpatients and snacks can be bought from the vending machine area at the entrance to the restaurant. The Cafe is situated in the hospital main entrance and is staffed by League of Friends volunteers.
You can purchase hot and cold drinks, Sebastian's sandwiches, cakes and other snacks and relax in a modern and comfy atmosphere. You can purchase a variety of items including, newspapers, magazines, greetings cards, toiletries, confectionery, bottled drinks and a selection of gifts. Monday to Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm Saturday and Sunday 9.30am - 3.30pm AbleWorld is situated in the main entrance of the hospital. They stock Wheelchairs, Power Chairs, Scooters, Bathing Accessories, Riser Reclining Chairs, Walking Aids, Back Supports, Stair lifts, Hoists and Slippers. Monday to Saturday 9.00am - 5.30pm Please note that sometimes they are closed between 1.00 -2.00pm so please telephone to check availability if planning to come during this time. The Post Office is in the main entrance. Monday to Friday 09:00 - 12:30 and 13:30 - 17:00
Saturday and Sunday Closed. A postbox is available just outside the Post Office in the main entrance. The cash point is situated next to the Post Office in the main entrance and is available 24 hours, seven days a week. You can use a mobile phone, although with some networks the signal is poor. You may be asked to turn off your mobile phones if certain pieces of medical equipment are in use on the ward. Cameras should not be used on Wards for privacy reasons. If you do not have a mobile phone or have poor reception there is a pay phone on the main corridor by Kenyon Ward. The League of Friends Patients' Library is on the main corridor opposite Clwyd and Powys wards. It comprises a well stocked collection of new and old titles, including fiction, non-fiction, large print books and over 200 talking books (tape cassettes). You can also borrow DVDs and DVD players. The book trolley visits every ward two afternoons a week, except the Spinal Injury Unit which is visited one afternoon a week.
