relationships

Relationships are overvalued. We’re so tired and confused with life that we pin unrealistic expectations on others, only to realize they’re just as flawed as we are. Friends aren’t forever; most of them will fade away unless you constantly invest hours into maintaining those bonds. People come and go. They change—values, careers, ideas—or they get corrupted by money, desires, and selfishness. Eventually, almost everyone will ditch you if you don’t keep pouring time into it.

Focus on building a small circle of low-maintenance connections—friends or family who genuinely care but don’t demand constant attention. The kind of people you can talk to rarely, but when you do, it feels real. That’s your tribe. Hold on to them. Everyone else is noise.

The media sells relationships as the ultimate happiness, but it’s a lie. The sooner you stop chasing the illusion, the freer you’ll be.
