Quick Safety Check Before You Click

Getgems

A recent update introducing offchain Gift trading on Getgems has inevitably caught the attention of scammers.

They’ll try to steal NFTs, lure users with links, and generally use any trick to deceive.

That’s why we want to remind you how to protect yourself on Telegram and Getgems. Some of these tips might seem obvious, but a quick refresher never hurts. This isn’t an exhaustive list, but it will help you avoid the most common scams.

Below is the full list of official Getgems resources with direct links — we recommend saving them, bookmarking, or keeping them in a dedicated folder for easy access.

❌ What you absolutely shouldn't do:

  • Don’t confirm any Telegram account or wallet authorization unless it comes directly from https://getgems.io — it could be a phishing attempt.
  • Don’t trust “moderators,” “support,” or bots that message you first with requests to click links, connect your wallet, or "verify" anything. Getgems will never contact you this way.
  • Don’t trust usernames that look similar to official ones: for example, @gemsreIayer with “i” instead of “L” or accounts with extra numbers/prefixes. These are fakes.
  • Don’t agree to deals via third-party "guarantoor/escrow" agents — the Getgems marketplace is peer-to-peer / wallet-to-wallet and commission-free for Gift trading.
  • Don’t participate in “giveaways,” “airdrops,” or “promotions” unless they’ve been announced in official channels.
  • Don’t click suspicious links, especially if the domain looks off (e.g., getgerns.io or getgems-airdrop.com).
  • Never enter your seed phrase, confirmation codes, or private keys anywhere other than official wallet app. Getgems team members and bots will never ask for these.
  • Don’t believe screenshots of NFT transfers or TON transactions — they can be easily faked.
  • Don’t interact with incoming “Gifts” from fake @gemsrelayer accounts, especially if the name has extra characters.
  • Don’t use suspicious mini-apps if someone insists you complete a deal through them.
  • Don’t connect your TON wallet to sketchy websites or apps posing as Getgems. Close the tab or report/block the fake bot.

✅ What you should do right now:

  • Use only the official website and/or Getgems bot:
  • https://getgems.io and https://t.me/GetgemsNftBot/
  • Enable two-factor authentication on Telegram — it's a basic but essential security measure.
  • Add @gemsrelayer to your Telegram contacts — our official account for offchain Gift trading (no KYC, no blockchain transfers).

Tip: give it a unique name in your contacts to avoid confusion with fakes.

  • Enable message filtering from unknown senders (Telegram Premium feature).
  • Create a dedicated Telegram folder for Getgems chats and updates — for easier access to the community, support, and trading tools like the Getgems Relayer bot.
  • Only open links from people or channels you trust.
  • Verify any information through official Getgems channels.

🎯 Remember: even simple precautions can prevent major losses. Digital hygiene is easy — but crucial.

Take care of yourself and your assets 💎

When in doubt — don’t hesitate to ask in our official community chat.
