We stayed at the Aloft for 4 nights in October, we were visiting family in San Antonio. Our room here was great, clean, modern, nice flatscreen tv. Rooms were clean, lobby was modern and trendy. We swam one day and the pool was heated. At night they had a fire pit and a fireplace with benches and seats so you could relax. You are close to Target, North Star Mall, Dennys, and several little restaurants close by that you can walk to. It seemed like we were 15 minutes from everything, airport was just minutes away.

Don't hesitate to stay here, the staff was superb, room was great, I could not find one thing to complain about and trust me I am picky! They also have free parking and free wireless internet. 346 reviews sorted by: Was a smaller 'express' type of hotel but had a lot of nice touches. Rooms had a contemporary decor. The best part was the outside fire pit which had comfy lounge chairs along side the fire. They have a 'hip' lobby bar too. There is a nice breakfast place across the parking lot and the mall with several nice restaurants is one exit away. Went to Sea World all day so didn't want to spend too much money on the hotel. This hotel was not at all what I expected. I made my decision to stay because at the time the hotel had recently opened for business. I was excited to stay at a new hotel. When we arrived we were surprised at what we found. The hotel did not look very new and our room was not suffiently clean. The room had hair in multiple places, clothing tags, dirty refrigerator, and it was extremely small.

I complained to the front desk and the head of housekeeping was there and offered to walk back to the room to see what I was complaining about. She informed me that she was surprised to hear what I was saying considering she had just inspected the room. Needless to say I laughed out loud when she said that. She looked over the room and cleaned up the complaints. After she left we decided to stay somewhere else - The Embassy Suites. The Aloft's staff was very nice and they did not charge anything to my credit card (we stayed there less than 45 minutes). I would not recommend this hotel for anyone with children or where space and cleanliness is an issue. Travelers are raving about these San Antonio hotels Omni San Antonio Hotel Drury Plaza Hotel San Antonio North Stone Oak Omni La Mansion del Rio JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa Country Inn & Suites By Carlson Lackland AFB (San Antonio) Cheaply Done Made To Look Nice! The Hotel and rooms are made to look modern with cheap furniture from IDEA or Walmart that is going to fall apart within a year.

The rooms have window A/C units that can not keep up with the heat. Each room has a multimedia unit to hook computers and DVD players into the T.V.,ours was broken and was told "that there are many rooms with malfuctioning boxes and I was going to have to deal with" by the mantainence man. There was a fashion show out by the pool that resembled a inner city gang meeting, the music rattled the window from 4PM until 10:30PM(childs were not able to use the pool or sleep). They were out of soap for the shower and was basically told to deal with it also. They did have a nice fitness center. This hotel is located in a perfect spot with many restaurants & shopping available within walking distance. There is a lot of parking ast the hotel as well (free). The rooms are very nice and clean, very modern and I enjoyed the free WI-FI in my room. This is a rarity in hotel accomodations these days! I didn't use the pool or gym but they are available and I am sure, very nice. The beds are very comfy and I LOVED the BLISS product lotions, soaps and shampoo that was in the room.

Overall stay was perfect..no complaints, staff was helpful and courteous. With a limited number of hotels that welcome dogs, this one welcomes them and there's not even an extra charge. The hotel has a retro feel with a very active lobby/bar area. There were travelors of all ages with and without children. They have a beautiful pool and lounge area outside. The beds were very comfortable. If your traveling with small children, please realize there are no bathtubs but rather a very large shower. We had a small refrigerator in the room which was great, but they do not have a free breakfast as some hotels do. The service was wonderful and friendly. It was in an excellent location. We were only 10 minutes from the zoo, 15 from the Riverwalk, and 20 from Sea World (without traffic). You also don't have to pay for parking unlike most of the hotels around the Riverwalk. It's next door to a mall and lots of shopping close by. We will most likely stay here on our next visit to San Antonio.

New hotel located a block away from northstar mall and the airport. Good ambience when you enter. Room ac was ok one of those cheap hotel window unit ones and never seemed able to catch up and fully cool the room the way i like it had me sweating, but then again i am a polar bear. Large windows high 9 ft cielings good location next to expressway for easy access. Restroom doesnt have good lighting so for people putting on makeup might not appreciate this. Large shower with big glass doors. Free wireless internet, free parking. Huge flatscreen tv with around 6 hdtv channels. The hottest deals voted on by our community. Herman Miller Inc. (Nasdaq: MLHR) has sued Gold Leaf Holding Ltd. of British Columbia over the company’s intentional violation of trademark law in selling, distributing and advertising several products marketed under the Eames moniker, according to court documents.

The designs of Charles and Ray Eames for decades have been a part of the Herman Miller collection, dating back to the late 1940s. But in the lawsuit filed in August in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Michigan, the Zeeland-based Herman Miller alleges that Gold Leaf, which does business as Rove Concepts, sold “design reproductions” of six classic Eames products, including the Eames Lounge Chair, Molded Plywood Dining Chair and two version of the designers’ Office Chair. Herman Miller says Rove Concepts’ actions were “intentional and with knowledge of the considerable reputation, goodwill, and fame associated with and represented by Herman Miller’s registered trademarks,” according to court documents. “Indeed, Rove Concepts’ express business model is to duplicate Herman Miller’s designs as closely as possible,” according to the filing. Prior to filing the lawsuit, Herman Miller sent cease and desist notices to the Canadian company “on numerous occasions.”

For Herman Miller, the lawsuit comes as a part of the company’s overall strategy to police and curtail unlawful use of its trademarks. The company is being represented in the case by Grand Rapids-based law firm Varnum LLP. “We have a vigorous program in place to protect our brand,” a company representative said in an emailed statement to MiBiz declining to comment on the ongoing litigation. “By defending our intellectual property and products, we protect our customers, designers, and workers both here in America and around the globe.” In fact, the Zeeland manufacturer has sued other companies in the past over the use of the Eames name and designs. Herman Miller filed lawsuits against California-based Modernica Inc. in 2014 and New American Inc. of Toronto in 2012 over imitation Eames products. More recently, the company settled a 2015 trademark lawsuit with New York-based Madison Seating LLC over its selling of used Herman Miller chairs without labeling them as being pre-owned.
