Nashville is full of amazing places to eat and drink, but let’s be honest — when the weather is perfect, we all want to be outside. There are a ton of top-notch Nashville patios and porches, but we’ve narrowed down the list to our favorites. Acme not only has one of the best rooftop patios, but also a killer view of the Cumberland River and Broadway. There is a separate bar on the rooftop so you can get your drinks in a jiffy. You’ve got to experience Acme and get a selfie with the view! Although Pinewood Social is known for its indoor glory like bowling lanes, an awesome lounge / coffee area, and fine dining, the outdoor area is just as exciting. There is a huge patio featuring bocce ball courts, two pools, and an Airstream bar serving food and cocktails. Learn more about Pinewood Social’s outdoor area and see more photos.

Saint Anejo is a patio tucked away on McGavock Street in the Gulch that you may not notice at first. It has a great indoor/outdoor vibe since the glass wall at the bar opens up to the patio. You won’t be disappointed in the food or drinks either! The 12 South neighborhood is filled with awesome restaurants with great patios, but Bartaco’s outdoor space is definitely one of the best. They just opened in late 2015, so you can knock out trying a new place with some quality outside time. The Country, located off West End, has a partly covered patio with an outdoor bar, numerous tables, a fire pit, and outdoor games like giant Jenga and Ringing The Bull (or simply the hook and ring game). They have 24 beers on tap and fresh cocktail menu. Stop by for happy hour Monday through Friday from 4pm to 6pm. Watermark is one of Nashville’s pioneer restaurants, opening in the Gulch long before the neighborhood was developed. Head to Watermark if you’re craving a fine-dining experience on one of the best rooftop patios in Music City.

M.L. Rose has two locations — one in West Nashville (pictured left) and one in the Melrose neighborhood (pictured right). Both locations have large patios with giant Jenga for entertainment and fire pits for ambience and warmth. The Melrose location is mostly covered, while the West location is mostly uncovered. Virago’s patio is sort of a hidden gem in Nashville and it’s one of our favorites. It’s a covered patio with huge booths with white cushions, 4-top tables, bar seating, and a couple other options. The view of downtown Nashville from the patio is the best part. Butchertown Hall is one of Nashville’s newer places with a sun-soaked patio. They have brews you won’t find anywhere else, which will go down smoothly in the beer garden. There are large tables and four-top tables, so seating is suitable for any size party. This is a one of the top places to check out in Germantown. Since Up opened during the cold month of December, many people may have overlooked this awesome rooftop patio in the Gulch.

It’s located on top of the Fairfield Inn & Suites, so it’s a lesser-known spot, but definitely worth a visit. They have a solid drink menu and a small selection of food items which pair nicely with good weather. 12 South Taproom has a really nice patio that is always packed. On warm days, it’s hard to find a table, but if you do, it’s a real treat. They have awesome beer on tap as well as great food. Blvd Nashville is a great little bistro located on the ever-so-popular Belmont Boulevard. Grab a table outside and watch the never-ending stream of runners, walkers, dogs, professors, musicians, and college students. Jackson’s in Hillsboro Village is a great option if you want the “in the scene” vibe. We love being able to see people walking by in one of the more eclectic neighborhoods in Nashville. If you’re looking for a nice dinner restaurant with a great patio, Urban Grub is a great option. Located in the bustling 12 South neighborhood you can see all the action, but still feel secluded on the patio.

South is located on Demonbreun Street and has a great patio if you want to be in all the action. Demonbreun has 5+ restaurant patios that all lineup to create a lively environment on the street. South also has a couple of TVs on their patio if you’re looking to catch the score of a game. Everybody loves a good coffee shop especially one with an awesome porch to read or work on. Bongo Java on Belmont Blvd. has just that. It is often filled with energetic college students from Belmont University across the street. They have delicious coffee and food! Whiskey Kitchen definitely has one of the best patios in Nashville. One half of the patio is covered, while the other half is open. There is room to sit or stand, and it gets pretty packed at night or on sunny days. Bella Napoli’s patio in Edgehill Village is definitely a hidden gem. It’s the patio that will make you feel like you’re somewhere other than Nashville. With picnic tables, Italian lights, and live music on weekend, this might become your new favorite patio in Nashville.

The Southern has a ground-level patio in SoBro, which is rare. You can sit back and experience all the buzz of downtown Nashville. Their happy hour is great, and it’s conveniently located to hit up a couple honky tonks afterward. The Pharmacy in East Nashville has an amazing outdoor beer garden. With a ton of picnic-style tables and stringed lights, this place illuminates with energy at night. Be sure to grab a table and a beer here next time you’re on the East side! It may not look like much from the outside, but Mafiaoza’s patio is one of the most popular in town. It’s covered so you can go rain or shine and it’s always a good time. Whether you head there for 2-for-1s or to grab one of the delicious pizzas, we recommend grabbing a seat on the patio. Edley’s in 12 South has a great patio with plenty of seating. It faces 12th Avenue South, so you can check out what’s going on in the neighborhood while you eat and drink. Soulshine in Midtown has a huge open air patio that’s really fun.

With a stage for live music, great pizza, and lots of beer on tap, this is a go-to spot for a good time. Sambuca is in the Gulch, a very trendy part of town. It’s really fun to dine on the patio and see all the action in this bustling neighborhood. Their food and drink specials aren’t too shabby either. Rumours Wine Bar in East Nashville has a huge back yard that so homey. It’s a really special place to drink some fine wine and talk the night away. Oh yeah, and they’ve got a fire pit for when the night turns chilly. Rebar in Midtown is a fun place to campout for several hours. If you go early, you can grab a big table and sit around to catch up with friends. They also have cornhole. Red Door East and Midtown both have incredible outdoor areas. We highly recommend grabbing a beer at either of these locations. Rosepepper in East Nashville not only has clever signs (featured below) but also a great patio. It is a covered patio so it’s a good spot if you don’t want the sun shining down on you.
