First, Select Cushion Color Your office chair has serious Mogo envy. It wishes it could be half as clever as Mogo, what with its portability, versatility, and free-wheeling lifestyle. Mogo is the simplest, most supportive portable leaning chair out there. Find yourself in need a break from standing? Just grab your Mogo, twist on the seat pan, deploy the pivoting leg post, and boom, you have a seat to get your ergonomic lean on. It's seriously that simple. Mogo works both indoors and out. It will support you at the sideline of the soccer field on a Saturday morning, or relaxing on a warm summer evening at a music festival. Mogo is right at home in the conference room too, making impromptu collaboration sessions easier than ever. At just two pounds, it is fully collapsible to fit into your tote bag or strap to your backpack. Want to make the Mogo even more supportive? Make it a bundle and add the stabilizing foot rest (and save a few dollars while you're at it).

It comes apart and collapses really nicely. That being said, "in-theroy" just didn't meet up with "in-practice" for me. I have a treadmill desk set up that I use for about 5 hours/day. There are times when I'd rather be "sitting" - or in this case, not walking and not standing upright. I think the Mogo is one of those things that's designed for a specific body type (i.e. pretty slim) - I am 5'6", 143 lbs, female and carry all my weight in my hips/thighs. So, I felt like the seat was cutting off circulation.Usually after standing long periods of time, I feel pain in my lower back and legs - the chair eliminated the back/leg pain (my lower back actually felt great) but instead my butt and heels would start hurting.

I understand that anything gets painful after a while - hence the desire to change up the workstation - but I used the chair for about 4 hours today and didn't really feel comfortable at any point while using it. I'm curious to try the Focal Upright Locus Leaning Seat because it's designed to be used with an angled foot rest. It's also worth noting that your intended use for the chair might change your opinion of it. For an office setting where it will be used extensively, it might not work so well for you. If you're thinking of more occasional use for the chair, like in an airport, or while hiking etc. then it might be something to try out. 15 of 16 people found the following review helpful: Great Asset to Healthy Seating! Jane Webber from Amazon Last winter I was fortunate enough to be able to borrow a friend's new Mogo while she was out of the country for 5 weeks. My first experience with the device was enticing and I'd wanted to give it a good try.At first I wasn't sure how to set up the unit for optimal performance, but after consultation with my friend, who is an ergonomics expert, I learned that the ideal angle for good health and comfortable seating is between 120 and 135 degrees, torso to legs.

After adjusting for that, the Mogo really took off for me and I knew I'd want to order one -- or two!First of all, the perch is beautifully designed and crafted, and really is comfortable. But more than that, the quality of subtle movement and balance necessary to remain upright keeps me alert and focused for extended periods of time. And because it's so easily portable -- and adjustable for most any height table (or body!) -- I can imagine taking it with me pretty much everywhere: meetings, social events, hikes, you name it!It's no surprise that everyone I've shown it to has been intrigued with the Mogo and has wanted to test it out. That includes some children I work with who have attentional difficulties, and I'll be eager to learn whether they too will benefit when using the Mogo on a regular basis.I'm convinced that Upright seating is the wave of the future, and I've happily joined this Revolution! 34 of 34 people found the following review helpful: Human Kickstand Does Its Job

Amazon Customer from Amazon This thing is pretty awesome. Having stood at work (9+ hr days) for over a year, my feet/back/neck could get pretty tired. I'd find myself slouching or reaching for the not-so-ergonomic drafting stool. I just got this, so I can't speak to long term use, but at first try it seems great. Takes the weight off the feet, keeps the back in a solid position, keeps the hips open, engages the abs.... it's awesome.Be sure to hit their website ([...] for tips on how to use it properly. I played with it for a bit then read through the site again and decided to try on a lower click- much better. I'm 5'2" and use it on the second click. I'm going to use it for a while before deciding, but I'm already thinking about getting a second one for my home workstation. It's portable, but not so small that I'd want to carry it back/forth every day.Takes the weight off the feet and keeps the hips open.Cons-Could use a bit of a shock- something to give it a little squish. The shape of the seat allows a bit of tush to mush through.
