The LEGO Batman movie gets a brand new trailer Many great men have called themselves Batman. David Jason in that Only Fools & Horses episode. But we would argue none are as great, or indeed as gravelly voiced, as Will Arnett, who returns to voice the Caped Crusader in blocky form for The Lego Batman Movie. Our theory continues to seem correct in this brand new peek at The Lego Movie's first spin-off. Watch the latest trailer below. There’s been a couple of very entertaining trailers already (including this rather brilliant one from Comic-Con), but this gives us our best look yet at the first of several new films in the Legoniverse. We catch our diminutive hero at a lonely time in his life, accompanied only by his loyal butler Alfred (Ralph Fiennes). It’s not until excitable sidekick Robin (Michael Cera) comes along that Bats learns to spread his hi-tech wings. Along the way, he’ll do battle with classic foe The Joker (Zach Galifianakis), and be forced to work with Barbara Gordon (Rosario Dawson), who appears to be in Commissioner Gordon’s role, rather than her usual Batgirl/Oracle incarnation.

Directed by Chris McKay, expect The Lego Movie’s deft balance of knowing witty comedy (did you spot those signs at the beginning?) and colourful stop-motion-inspired CG animation when The Lego Batman Movie arrives in UK cinemas on 10 February, 2017.If Batman v. Superman was just a little too dour for you, then The Lego Batman Movie may be just what you need. In the new trailer for the film, we even see that the Lego version of Batman tell the Joker (voiced by Zach Galifianakis) that Superman is his greatest enemy, and that he’s cheating on the Joker by fighting other bad guys. “I’d say I don’t currently have a bad guy,” Will Arnett’s Batman says. “I am fighting a few different people. I like to fight around.” The trailer also gives us a good look at Barbara Gordon/Batgirl (Rosario Dawson), Alfred (Ralph Fiennes) and Dick Grayson/Robin (Michael Cera). As the trailer suggests, Batman is a total loner, but he may have to form a team to stop the Joker from taking over Gotham.

This film will be produced by Lego Movie directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, with Chris McKay taking over as director. Like The Lego Movie before it, The Lego Batman Movie looks to be a wonderfully light and sweet alternative to the grim products that Hollywood is heavy on. The movie hits theaters on Feb. 10, 2017. For now, check out the trailer above. It’s been three years since audiences first experienced a digital LEGO adventure on the big screen. Now, after a long stretch without a new journey to LEGOLAND, we’re getting two full-length movies in 2017. The LEGO Batman Movie is out this week, and The LEGO Ninjago Movie drops September 22nd. Today, Warner Bros. has revealed the first preview of the latter with a new trailer. The LEGO Ninjago Movie looks something like the original Power Rangers TV show with a familial edge. A group of ninjas are assembled by Master Wu (Jackie Chan) to save the city of Ninjago from the shark-obsessed bad guy Garmadon (Justin Theroux).

Only it turns out the leader of this elite, zord-riding group of heroes, Master Builder Lloyd (Dave Franco), is actually Garmadon’s son! And cue Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood”. The trailer, which you can watch above, doesn’t reveal quite the same heart as the other LEGO movies, but it’s easy to see how that plot could get there in the end. The animated comedy also features the voice talents of Michael Peña, Abbi Jacobson, Olivia Munn, Zach Woods, Kumail Nanjiani, and Fred Armisen. First-time feature director Charlie Bean (Tron: Uprising) directed from a script by Hilary Winston, Bob Logan, and Paul Fisher. Read the official synopsis below. In this big-screen NINJAGO adventure, the battle for NINJAGO City calls to action young Master Builder Lloyd, aka the Green Ninja, along with his friends, who are all secret ninja warriors. Led by Master Wu, as wise-cracking as he is wise, they must defeat evil warlord Garmadon, The Worst Guy Ever, who also happens to be Lloyd’s dad.

Pitting mech against mech and father against son, the epic showdown will test this fierce but undisciplined team of modern-day ninjas who must learn to check their egos and pull together to unleash their inner power of Spinjitzu. There's a very good chance that in four days we could watch in horror as the entire great experiment of American democracy crumbles around us. Until then, our country is gripped by hateful national discourse and a crippling tension, in anticipation of the dark days to come. We can cast our vote, then we sit back and watch the coin flip that will determine the fate of the United States—spinning, spinning, spinning until it lands on either Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton. If there's anywhere we can find happiness right now, it's in the new trailer for The LEGO Batman Movie. This cocky, Will Arnett-voiced Batman doesn't know how to use his big screen inputs, can't stand his obnoxious little twerp Robin, and didn't really like the Batman v Superman movie just like the rest of us.

In a time when all superhero movies suck, when we don't know the future of our nation, these stupid little CGI blocks will be the bright spot in our miserable lives.I know the movie doesn't come out until February, but at two minutes and 30 seconds, this trailer is the perfect shot of enjoyment next time you see a headline relating Russian espionage, or hear Trump speak any words.
