Four small patches are what you depend on to accelerate, brake and steer. Install Woody's tire screws and maximize the performance of these small rubber patches and improve the handling on any terrain you are on. It just makes sense to stud the tires of your ATV, UTV, snowblower, tractor, motorcycle, backhoe or skid loader instead of installing tire chains. Any tire will benefit from adding Woody's tire studs. Woody's Twist Screws are available in various lengths and shapes. They are designed for easy installation and staying power. Once they are in they won't come out until you take them out. One thing they all have in common is high carbon grade steel, a carbide tip and the Woody's promise of improved traction and a reliable, durable product. This chart has guidelines for length and applications. Because of the limitless number of applications and variables, it is not practical to include technical information for every tire and application the Twist tire screws can be used for.

Airless tires make market debut on unstoppable ATV 11.18.2013 :: 6:10PM EDT Airless tires (or non-pneumatic tires) are an area of rather conflicted research by the tire companies. A good enough design has the potential to drastically reduce their income by both reducing the number of flat and replacements, but by making the process of changing and maintaining a tire vastly more simple. There are versions in development from Bridgestone, Michelin and more, but the first airless tire to actually hit the open market is from ATV maker Polaris.
Check out a video of its Polaris Sportsman WV850 HO below… Traditionally, the biggest problem with airless tires has been that they reduce fuel efficiency and offer very little suspension relative to air-filled, or pneumatic, tires. Airless tires have existed for a long time on backhoes and other construction equipment, but try convincing a the public to buy a Honda that kicks like a piece of heavy machinery. It’s only recently that materials and design have come together to make a practical airless tire come into being. As Polaris is so eager to point out, airless tires are a point of interest for the military, which has poured a fair amount of money into the idea. Even the super-tough tires used on vehicles like the Humvee can get a flat, and even the resilient military hardware will suffer for it. They very much crave a tire that can roll over shrapnel and even small explosions and keep rolling — let alone drive 350 miles after a direct hit from a .50 caliber rifle, as Polaris eagerly claims of their airless tire design.
