The Sleep Shop is a local, central Indiana mattress retailer providing the best products, prices and services for all of your mattress needs! We also pride ourselves on being a locally owned and operated business! Matt Markovich, our company owner, worked for a large mattress retailer for many years. He enjoyed his time with this company until they decided to become a publicly traded company. It was at this point that corporate profits and shareholders became more important than the company’s employees and customers. Matt knew there was a better way of doing business, so he decided to leave the safety of his corporate job and pursue his dream of being a small business owner. And in 2012, he opened his first store location in Franklin, IN. So, how does a small, local company become successful and compete with our large, corporate competitors? We’re glad you asked… The leadership at The Sleep Shop has a combined 18 years of experience working on the corporate side of the mattress industry.
This knowledge of our competitors’ operations has been valuable in developing a local business that can compete with these large companies. So, when you walk into The Sleep Shop you will find better products, better pricing, and better service than you will get at any other mattress store in the area. Our company prides itself on providing that local, small business environment while offering better options than our corporate competitors. We also have much lower overhead than our competitors, and therefore we are able to pass that cost savings onto our customers. No matter what you’re looking for The Sleep Shop has you covered. We carry a huge selection of mattresses including some very inexpensive mattresses for kids, as well as the top of the line Tempurpedic and iComfort memory foam beds. We carry name brand mattresses at all price levels, from our cheapest bed on up to the most expensive. We have a great relationship with our vendors so we often get access to special buys, discontinued merchandise, and overstock items that we purchase in bulk…
This is something our competitors rarely do. All of our mattresses are made in the U.S.A! Thank you for looking at our website, and we hope to see you in our store soon! Need to Buy a Mattress? That's very difficult to answer without seeing the house. As one poster said, the prep is the most important part. On newer homes that don't have a lot of peeling paint, the prep can be very minimal even as low as a couple or a few hundred dollars for the prep labor. On a 100 year old home with 12 coats of peeling paint on it, then the prep costs can be very high and can easily exceed 50% of the job's labor cost.A 2100 sq ft two story home could easily cost $1000 just for the labor to prep for the paint job. That number could climb too.
Throw in lots of caullking or window glazing, and you could be talking a couple or a few hundred dollars more for labor. Painting that home with one coat of paint and a different color on the trim could run roughly $1000 or more just for labor. Add a second coat and that could cost close to another $1000 for labor. For paint, you may need 20 gallons of paint. You can pay from $30-$70 for a gallon of good quality exterior paint. The manufacturer of the paint should be specified in any painting contract. Otherwise, the contractor could bid at a Sherwin-Williams $60 per gallon paint and then paint the house with $35 Valspar and pocket the difference. $25 dollars per gallon times 20 gallons? That's a pretty penny too. That was the long answer to your question. The short answer is $2000 to $4000 and up, depending upon the amount of prep, the number of coats, the amount of trim, and the paint used.$Top brandsTop rated Spa Sensations MattressesSee allMattresses and AccessoriesThere are many types of mattresses on the market today, which can feel very different.
