mancity.com - Description problem
- [...]
- If a short description exists in the source, it must be used for the link preview (OpenGraph descriptions, lead sections, etc.).
- If the description in the meta data (routinely) doesn’t describe the contents of the article, your template must create a description using the subtitle or lead section, first paragraph, etc.
In this case, I used the OpenGraph tag, as recommended.
I would also like to draw attention to some of the problems of this website:
- lead is usually located in first header tag, but without specific attributes;
- sometimes first header tag doesn't contain lead, but simply duplicates the article title;
(https://www.mancity.com/fans-and-community/club/safeguarding/staying-safe-online - Reporter's template doesn't provide any description, which is an issue) - sometimes the meta-tag with OpenGraph description exists, but its content is empty.

In my opinion, for this website it is best to use OpenGraph description, and in cases where its content is empty, use the first paragraph. This is exactly how my template works.
