Perhaps in trying to emulate TV shows Fawaz could have chosen a better model than The Apprentice, although I think he genuinely enjoys firing people, relishes wielding the power of his axe over the people he employs. He clearly likes parading employees around to impress people back home, as evidenced by the frankly laughable BBC news report when Billy was in Kuwait in which Natalie Jackson was repeating spoonfed lines about Fawaz being able to buy Barcelona if he wanted to. I think Barça may well consider themselves lucky that Mr Al-Hasawi decided to bestow his “generous wealth” and “wondrous business intelligence” upon us rather than them. On Monday he gave an interview in which he threatened to sell the club if people didn’t stop picking on him.




He claims he has turned down offers for us, which is a real shame because right now I’d welcome a Munto-Venky’s consortium spearheaded by Donald Trump and Paul Ince. Lovely food and great room. 눇Excellent hotel if you arriving or departing from the airport. If you want a location to explore the city or enjoy the beach, choose something else 눉No basic facilities like tea pot and refrigerator inside the room. Very limited menu of food.눇Cleanliness and ambiance. Good for short stay without family. 눉There was a private party in the restaurant which felt a bit strange when we wanted to have dinner there. Noisy.눇Liked the style, the room, the comfy bed a lot. Good wifi and AC, friendly staff. Good location for the airport. 눉We were placed in a room next to the resteraunt which was playing music and the hotel clearly take a big cut from the taxis they order at highly over inflated prices.눇Good for a early morning flight... 눇Extremely friendly staff and super service. 눉Noisy room facing street. Confusion over payment for breakfast. Room freezing with ac on but only a bed sheet provided. 눇Great comfort for the price.




Neighborhood noisy and a lot of hassle if you are walking. Better take a riksha or taxi. So all in all, good price and quality. Stayed in Shangri-La before and was not SO much better than this hotel (but 3 times more expensive). 눉No water on the first night till around 2.30am. Mentioned full breakfast but offered toast coffee fruit and juice. Charged for the omelet and saugeges. Booked a lake view deluxe room. But got the basic room on the first night. Never given a discount on the bill. Really disappointed with the service. Phoned me to inform about the room change at 8.00pm on the check-in date. where I couldn't cancel the booking. When I booked the room the system allowed me to book the deluxe room and I don't understand how come they didn't have the room. Poor management.눇Room is really good and comfortable 눉Basic room is beside the highway. If you are a light sleeper choose another hotel 눉The hotel did not appear open when we arrived (granted it was about 6am) and check in (with the younger staff member) was a bizarre experience.




We booked two rooms and were given rooms next to each other but one had an awful smell coming from the room and even worse in the bathroom. When we asked for a new room, the staff member who checked us in lied and said there were no other rooms then showed my friend to one on the second floor. The rooms were generally clean, and they can't kill every bug, but they should be able to remove dead bugs (big and small) from the rooms and bathroom. The shower floor was also dirty, so clearly they'd made the bed and that was about it. Breakfast was included with the room but only consists of a small plate of 'fresh' fruit (papaya, two quarters of a banana and two small watermelon triangles) and some bread and cupcakes. When other guests were served omelettes and sausages, we asked for the same. It was a surprise to find we were billed for this at check out. At no time did they mention that would be an extra cost.눇The view from the balcony and the breakfast area of the lagoon is stunning.
