The playful display is meant to capture the brand’s adventurous spirit. The vehicles are set against a landscape that transitions from urban streets to the great outdoors.One of its most well-known vehicles – the VW Microbus – is featured with a two-tone exterior made of blue and white Lego bricks, and is meant to take “drivers back to the family camping trips of yesteryear,” according to the VW release.This is not the first time this year that VW has teased the possibility of a Microbus return. At the Detroit Auto Show in January, the I.D. BUZZ – an electric, autonomous all-wheel drive concept vehicle closely resembling a futuristic version of the beloved van – made its debut. The concept also helped emphasize the automaker’s plans to bring a line of fully-electric vehicles to production by 2020.Other details that keeps the replica true to the iconic model of the 60s include a distinctive “V-shaped” front fascia design, rounded headlamps, silver round side-view mirrors, silver baby moon hubcaps, a curved bumper in white and a bold VW badge, placed front and center.
