MoviesThis Lego Batman Movie Trailer Is The Best Batman Movie of 2016 Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will be introducing audiences to a brand-new Batman this weekend, played by Ben Affleck. A lot of opinions have been expressed about this Batman, both those based solely off marketing and those that come from the recent flood of reviews that have hit the Internet, but really, reviews aren't the biggest challenge facing Batfleck. It's the fact that the actual best on-screen Batman will likely get his own solo movie before him: Will Arnett's Lego Batman. The scene-stealing Lego brick superhero was an easy highlight of 2014's The Lego Movie. He was a character far funnier than he had to be in a movie that was much better than it had any right to be. A parody of the self-serious, modern take on Batman stories, Lego Batman was great because the people behind The Lego Movie knew exactly why Batman works, and had no qualms about affectionately taking the piss out of it. So, of course he's going to get his own movie, and the first teaser for it just dropped.
There's not a whole lot there, but it's wonderful to hear Will Arnett slide right back into the role, to see jokes about Batman doing ridiculously ordinary things, and to know that the entire Lego Justice League will appear.Which means this might not only be the best Batman yet, but also possibly the best Superman and Wonder Woman movie, too.
