- 5 months 9 days ago Mithril Slippers are one of the Mithril Treasure Items that can be forged at The Blacksmith Shop in Bree. Effect: When equipped, it gives the wearer Elven Agility. The Mithril Slippers schematic can be found in the Elven Forest. From the Elven Forest statue follow the stud trail a short way to a pedestal and crank at the river edge. Use Bilbo to fish up a crank handle at the jetty on the right side, then use the crank on the left side to raise more platforms in the river. Use a dwarf such as Dwalin to hammer smash the final pedestal into the river. Use an elf such as Legolas to ascend the platforms up to the mithril chest. Use Saruman, the Mithril Bomb Blade, or the Pine Comb Bomb to destroy the chest and reveal the schematic. The slippers are part of the Back-to-Roots Boots Side Quest, which rewards the "Treasure Item Detector" Red Brick. The Story Mode walkthrough includes everything needed to get through the chapter. All Collectibles locations (even those accessible in the Story Mode playthrough) are detailed in the Free Play walkthrough farther down the page. To get into the level, follow the light blue stud trail a long way through Dale and Erebor until the chapter starts. At the start, destroy the crate on the right, then use Bilbo in ring mode to build a gold Lego hook onto the crates against the stairs. Use Dori to pull the gold hook. Go up the two stairs, then put Nori (Lake-town) and Bifur (Lake-town) on the dwarf stack spot, then climb over them with another character. Hop up the next two stairs and hit the big leaf to lower the ladder.
Go around the corner and use Dwalin (Lake-town) to hammer smash the block off the ledge. Build a dwarf stack spot on the track and put the two dwarves on it, then climb up them to grab the hang rail. Jump up the hang rails to the stairs, then up the stairs to the small access hatch. Go through the hatch then smash the cracked plate to clear the path. Go left up the giant stairs, then left up the smaller stairs. Use Dori to grapple the gold Lego hook overhead, then have another character grab on to pull the chain down and the door up. Go through the small access hatch and use Ori (Lake-town) to shoot the color wheel targets to match the colors above. Go across the bridge and up to the left. Smash the white cracked plate above the track then hammer smash the boulder. Use the boulder as a stepping stone to reach the ledge above. Keep ascending using the ladder and hang rails, to reach the top and launch a cut scene. Destroy a vine covered rock at the front left, then use the pieces to build a green/red spinner.
Put a character on the platform and push the spinner to raise it. Switch to the character on the upper platform and go right to the stone ledge. Switch to the character below and grab the pull bar in the little alcove in the wall. Switch back to the top and go across the platforms. Switch back to below and get off the hang bar to raise the last platform. Have the upper character go across the platform and jump into cave area below. Turn the crank in the upper area to start a fire and end the chapter. The Free Play walkthrough includes all Collectibles locations, even though some may be accessible during a Story Mode playthrough. This section of the chapter runs from the start of the chapter through the ascent to the top of the cliff. This section is the last area with the upper platforms that must be manipulated to be crossed.Right now, things seem a little crazy in the world of Lego. The minifigure's value appears inflated by the fact that Lego employees randomly handed out only 100 figures to attendees of last week's San Diego Comic Con, making the grotesque toy rather rare indeed. At the time of this writing, other active eBay auctions featuring the Azog figure currently average $800-plus, and most of those listings have half a dozen bids and several days left to go. A quick browse of completed auctions indicates that Azog has routinely attracted successful sales of $900 or more. Of course, Azog isn't the only Lego figure attracting big bucks these days. A certain Mr. Gold, which is randomly inserted into Series 10 packs of Lego minifigures and limited to a run of 5,000, has also sold for more than $1,000 on eBay. You must find a character that is willing to give you a red brick in exchange for a Mithril item. To get their requested item you will need to locate the Blacksmith Design and then craft the item at the Blacksmiths workshop in Bree. Once you have crafted the item you can return and exchange it for a brick. Once a brick has been bought you can then turn it on by accessing the Extras menu.
